Ask a Former Jehovah's Witness

RE: Ask a Former Jehovah's Witness
(I have a ton of questions by the way. I'll try not to become tiresome.)

What is the deal with the "Jesus crucified on a stake" thing? I mean, who cares?

If someone I deeply loved was left to die on a wooden post, the last thing that would matter to me is its basic structural configuration. Is the argument made that this somehow matters?

They need to set themselves apart. They're so different and so right about everything that once you're in, you can't possibly go to another religion.

They also need to label everything in the rest of Christianity as pagan so they can prove they're truly holier than thou. They say the cross was derived from the Egyptian ankh.
