A big part of this is logistics - there simply isn't to manpower to process t he numbers coming in.
There's less personnel in the Border Patrol than there is in the New York City Police Department.

And this statistic is in furtherance of what, exactly? New York has more than 8 million people, most of whom are there every day. It would naturally take a larger force to police that than to deal with a couple of thousand people a day whose only crime (in most cases) is walking.

You'll have to forgive my skepticism of any media to guess numbers and get it right - because that's what they are doing --- guessing. They have no way to confirm such numbers - and neither do you.
It's a Facebook group, you nitwit. When you go to the page of any such group, it tells you how many people belong to the group.

What problem, exactly?
Immigrants fully intend to put themselves somewhere when they get to the US. You don’t need to do a single thing for that to happen. You don’t even need to detain them in the first place, least of all asylum seekers who report themselves.
So......what problem. Unless The Problem™ is that they’re not in concentration camps, then concentration camps is unlikely to be the answer.

But it's nothing to do with personal information on Facebook, it simply tells you the number of people who have joined that particular group. Let's say, for example, you started a group called 'Bikers Online' and 125 people joined. When someone visits that pages, there's a little flag that says '125 members'. This is automatically done by Facebook, not by the users. It's not nearly the same as someone opening up a phony account under your name.
Mind how you throw that term 'dense' around.
