How to easily defeat any argument for God
RE: How to easily defeat any argument for God
He doesn’t believe that there would -be- good if there were no gods.

He’s answered that one explicitly before.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

How many different moral systems do the atheist
here hold?

You seem to suggest there some commonly held moral system among atheists, which seems to be far from the case.

I also don’t think you’re a spokesperson for other atheists moral beliefs either.

Hey, me too! So, you’re conceding that god isn’t necessary to be good?

Sure, you don’t need to believe in God to be good, or to recognize it. We all can recognize that torturing innocent babies just for fun is morally wrong.

Our differences are not accounted for here, but in our beliefs about the natures of rightness and wrongness.

RE: How to easily defeat any argument for God
There are commonly held moral systems to every culture, of which atheists are just as much a part as theists.

That’s the observation of descriptive moral relativism.

It’s also been observed that regardless of the above, people don’t tend to think that their moral views actually are relative, even when they describe them as such.

Most people, which includes atheists, are no better than you have been at accurately describing whatever moral structure they hold ( assuming they’ve ever given it much thought in the first place....which they haven’t, as a rule).

I’m only a spokesman for the accurate communication and description of moral positions as they define themselves. So, for example, when an atheist says “morality is subjective” and then describes what they mean by that, I can point out that they haven’t described subjectivism in that explanation. Just as I can inform you that you have failed to describe objectivity or realism, or any barrier to either in atheism.

Insomuch as you say there isn’t much of a difference between your moral philosophy and others, you are plain and simply wrong. The only reason a productive discussion can’t be had about those differences is that you refuse to voice and certify them. Compounding this, you lack the vocabulary and subject knowledge to have such a discussion even if you wanted to......which you don’t.

Lol, as you indicated most people including atheists aren’t very good at articulating their moral systems, hence why you’ve designated yourself as their spokesperson. Sorry to say, I’m inclined to let them speak for themselves, rather than to take your descriptions as accurate reflection of their beliefs.

I rather have them work out their own thoughts here, even if they haven’t invested such thoughts into this endeavor before, I’m okay working with their incomplete thoughts, to see how far they go.

I’m not anyone else’s spokesperson you low rent troll, lol.

People speak for themselves, but that doesn’t mean that they’re aware of the accurate designation for what they’re describing.

Your every argument in every thread proceeds from your own misunderstandings and then moves forward to exploiting these misconceptions in a never ending semantic game.

Am I being clear enough, for you?

Well I allow them to form their own designations, to have their own voice and language, absent of you being their translator. Don’t think anyone appointed you to this task either.

Perhaps you should make it a point to speak for yourself, and yourself alone.

Sure, because that shows an incredible interest in reaching some well informed conclusion.

Everyone using their own novel terms to describe standard moral positions, even those standard moral positions that their descriptions are the anti-thesis of.

That helps no one but you, in nothing but perpetuating these profoundly ignorant posts.

Each an excuse to complain about atheists or atheism, and nothing else. The concern trolling is precious, coming from you.

Well, then you’re simply asserting that what we know as “good” is a god; that goodness is god. You will have to somehow demonstrate that to be true, or else its merely your subjective opinion.

Okay, do you see Good morally speaking as a matter of opinion, like we might say of a good movie, or as a matter of truth?
