Debate Invitation

Debate Invitation
I recently noticed the debate sub-forum. I've never engaged in any formal debates before, so I would like to give it a try. However, I'm very much a novice when it comes to debates, and am struggling to figure out how to organize it; for example, how broad or specific the topic should be, and what exactly to argue for or against.

In general I would like to present a justification for faith. Potentially, I think I would disagree with an opponent on faith being blind or against evidence. I think a good way to get organized, if anyone is interested, is for several people to volunteer and give a brief summary of what their potential stance would be. That way we can see if there is enough disagreement to have a debate in the first place.

I would do it if it weren’t for the time constraints imposed by the rules. I’m at home with two little boys, and I can’t guarantee I’d get my rebuttal in on time.

I think you'd need to narrow the scope for type of "faith". Most people have faith, even atheists. Is this going to be religious faith?

BTW, I don't debate.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

It would be faith as Christians, or the Bible, tend to use it.

I personally don't mind time constraints that are a week or two long if thats better for you. I'm not in a rush to start either; I live in florida, so the approaching hurricane takes precedence lol.
