I don’t think that any big money conspiracy theory is required.
Impeachment was always going to be slow walked to inflict maximum pain....and...to give time for public opinion to change.
Remember that most dems, even, were against impeachment not too long ago, and 2020 is an important election year for more than just the office of the presidency. That things ramp up as we close on campaign season isn’t remarkable in any way.

That would presume that the president only makes five transactions to profit from the office weekly.

Did you know that defacing National Weather Service maps is a crime? Regardless of whether or not it was right of him to believe the hurricane was heading to Alabama, he should not have drawn with a Sharpie on that map. That is a crime. He should not have defaced that map.

Do you really want to put Trump in jail for this when he has probably committed many finance crimes? We know he is profiting off of his presidency as well. So we go to trial over this? Can we prove that he knew that map was wrong and that he was the one with that doctored the map? Last I heard it was an anonymous source that said it was Trump. I am not saying he did not do it, he probably did, but can anyone provide enough evidence that he did? All this for 90 days in jail? Of which he probably would not serve it until after his presidency since I don't think this meets the High Crimes and Misdemeanors standard of the constitution. This whole thing is just stupid.

Yes, the whole thing is just stupid. Just stupid on top of a long litany of criminal infractions that do meet those standards that won’t be enforced anyway.....because it’s a political remedy, not a legal one.

You know what? I was wrong. Donald Trump isn't commiting crimes on an "also daily basis" . He is coming a crime every single day he refuses to sell on his businesses. Jimmy Carter had to sell his peanut farm upon becoming president, lest he break the elmolumnents cause. Why does the president continue to have his massive conflicts of interest even though people have told him (I assume) that it's wrong to run his business whilst being president.
