Feeling weirdly nostalgic for the early 2010s?

Feeling weirdly nostalgic for the early 2010s?
Is this a thing other people are experiencing as the 2010s draws to a close or is just me? I could just be that I'm a member of gen Z and thus, associate the early 2010s with my childhood.

How old are you, 12?

That explains it.  I don't think of nostalgia as happening within the decade I'm in.  Seems that for something to make me feel nostalgic it has to has some distance on it timewise.

But I guess if you are 15 being nostalgic about being 6 makes more sense.

And, no, I am not nostalgic about the decade that saw me deal with breast cancer and a heart attack...in fact, I would like to forget roughly 2009 to present.

Give me some 60s and 70s and maybe early 80s.

I'm not sure if nostalgia is the right word for something that happened so quickly ago, but I do find myself longing for the days when fascism was just a minor curiosity whose biggest influence was in the crime statistics. And to a lesser extent the more jackasstic parts of the left just stuck to their Tumblr blogs. And, of course, the days when presidential candidates who acted like wrestling heels just stayed on basic cable. Besides not having to deal with idiopathic hypersomnia, that's more or less it.

I guess feeling of nostalgia comes with change of things in personal life and cultural surroundings.

For instance when it comes to cultural nostalgia I do feel some weird nostalgia towards early 2000s, like there were still DVDs and some TV shows I watched (and didn't watch) but after the end of 2000s it seems that those kind of things stopped changing and they remained the same and they will probably remain same for few decades. Or maybe I would have to wait for next decade to see what was nostalgic about this one and it would be interesting to see what it is.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be!

I long for the days when I felt nostalgic.
