I don’t know about chihuahuas but Lizzybitty will stalk you and then pounce on the back of your knees. Because she’s crazy

Do you take your dog into stores where food is served?

BQ, I'm only going to contribute the following:

You and Athene both have cute little frozzy dogs like we had in our family until they (sadly) aged out and had to be put down. Both are a couple of little fuzzums that would be welcome in our home any time.  Great
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Yep. She’s probably cleaner than the staff and half the customers. Everyday twice a day her teeth are brushed, paws are washed and face washed

Can we institute the death penalty for animal abuse?

On the 10th of October we got a call from the rescue group in Nashville. They wanted to know if we could go right now and pick up a couple of greyhounds from a bad situation nearby. A couple of hours later we brought Arizona a 9 year old female, and Dash a 10 year old male into our home. They had been to vet for the first time in 5 years earlier in the week. Arizona was thin, had bad teeth, and tested heartworm positive. Dash who should have weighed 75 lbs. weighed 56. His teeth were as bad as I have ever seen, and he was dragging his back feet a little which is a sign of cauda equina syndrome.

On Saturday I carried both dogs to Nashville for a vetting. Arizona stayed with another foster so they could begin her heartworm treatment. The doc confirmed Dash's cauda equina, and I brought him back home to try to nurse him back to health. He was eating well despite the horrible teeth which was a good sign and had already gained 3 lbs. We got the bad news on Monday. His kidneys were failing. Function was down to about 25% of normal. Despite that we hoped to get that stabilized with a good diet. He was still eating well and by the 26th he had gained nine lbs.

Unfortunately on the 30th things took a turn for the worse. The sweet gentle boy stopped eating. His Kidneys were getting worse. By Friday he was at the vet getting intravenous fluids, and on Saturday we made the decision to end his suffering. He passed with his head in my lap.

The good news is Arizona is doing well in her new home. They haven't started the shots for heartworm yet so she is still in for some rough times in the near future, but the doc thinks she should be able to survive that and hopefully live out her last few years happy and loved.

All because some asshole couldn't be bothered to take care of the animals he brought into his home.
Save a life. Adopt a greyhound.

No.  As horrific as it is...no.

Oh, come on now. It's not like I'm advocating for the electric chair. Just condemning them to live outside in the elements, and denying medical care until their teeth rot out. That way they can't eat the cheap dry kibble that is the only food available until they slowly starve to death.
