Of course some say that’s not a miracle at all. I say the world around me is a miracle, and to many others it's just a fact pattern based in some theory. A theory that accounts for our planet being the exact distance from the sun to support life and many many other statistical phenomena as just that.
The part I bolded above is the kind of thing that points out just how flawed your thinking is.
First of all, the earth orbits between 147 million KM at its closest, and 152 million KM at its furthest away from the sun. That's 3.5 million miles difference. So much for the earth needing to be an exact distance from the sun. That's a difference of about 10%. So, obviously are distance away from the sun is not so much of a razors edge of survival as you mistakenly believe.
But your biggest flaw in thinking, is thinking that the earth was designed for us, and not that we exist on the earth because it is capable of supporting life.
This brings to mind author Douglas Adams's parable about the sentient puddle of water:
"This is rather as if you imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking, 'This is an interesting world I find myself in — an interesting hole I find myself in — fits me rather neatly, doesn't it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!"
But as I am sure you can plainly see, the puddle fits into the hole, not that the hole was designed for the puddle. We exist on earth because we fit the conditions on earth, not that the earth was designed for us.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

It's a miracle that mold grows on food I leave in the fridge too long. Just the perfect set of circumstances.
And to think my fridge is the only fridge that this happens in.
I mean, what are the odds ?
A mold creator god is the ONLY explanation that makes any sense.

I love how theists always point to babies or beautiful nature, as evidence for a god, but they don't seem to point to: harlequin disease tay sachse, African eye worm, babies born without brains, etc for evidence for a god.

But that was all caused by Adam's behaviour.
Adam... Not doing what the deity wanted...Or is it doing something the diety didn't want?
Caused the deity to then make all the bad things happen as punishment for Adam doing the thing.
Which ignores the point of how culpable the diety is in the actuallity of Adam doing the thing that the diety punished Adam for...
It really doesn't make sense, does it?
Cheers.

I think I made this point earlier. As I’ve learned more about atheists it seems to me most (some) of them don’t just lack belief in God but have a hatred for the non-god they don’t believe in.
And, at the same time lacking any confirmation bias, of course.
I have never seen a coherent description of what a god is. I think this is because believers don't really have much of an idea of what one is so cant put it across.
From what I can tell the Abrahamic god is a mix of ancestor worship, explanations for intangible concepts, pre-scientific reasons why things happen, wishful thinking and crowd control.
That's what I see when I see the word god.
If you think god is a thing then explain what it is, what its made of, how it does the stuff its supposed to do, where it came from.
You know, the things you would demand of literally everything else.

I have better morals than the god you claim.
I do not condone slavery.
I do not stone my children to death for disobedience.
My eldest is trans, my youngest is bi.
Your god would have me kill both of them and then call it moral.
Your god sucks serious ass.
I’m not sure where you got all that but....OK. Now you're making claims about my “fictitious” God? Who told you to kill your children? That’s crazy. Your magic book demands that I kill my children. Have you not read it?

Quote:Are you debating his character now? What do you care with moral character of a God you do not believe in?
Because you lot have managed to dream up a God who wants you to punish people for who they love, what they believe, what they read, what they write, how they eat, dress, think, etc. The character you've imbued into the God you've created has real world consequences for the here and now, most of them bad.

It would be far more miraculous if we found ourselves on a place where we couldn't, by any rational means, exist.
Why aren't there people on the moon?
We know why, naturally..but through god magic..well...bit of a riddle, isn't it?
Why are we incapable of producing our own energy without consuming other living things, even though some living things are very capable of doing so without that middleman?
We know why, naturally, but through god magic............another riddle.
An endless serious of completely unmiraculous riddles lay before you, as you insist on god magic that isn't capable of producing even one single miracle.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

If I could expand on this for a moment.
If I was creating life, all life would be plant based to the degree that the energy for life would come from the sun. Green skin if you will. All your nutritional needs would be gained from sunlight and soil.
No creature would have claws, teeth or the desire or need to kill anything else in order to provide for it's own survival.
This is one aspect out of thousands that I would change right off the top of my head. I'm not a genius. I'm not a god. I'm not all wise, but this seems like a no brainier if you are at all concerned about the well being of any living creature.
