So we’re there billions and billions of giraffes in the making to choose from trillions of mutations? Really now
To any educated person in Biology you are saying that you know next to nothing about it, but you feel that you can have an opinion about it.
Here is something for you to learn: if you want to be taken seriously about any subject, at least learn what you are talking about.
The bilions of ancesters of the modern giraffes that had mutations that didn't help or were detrimental to living in their environment, died, without been able to pass their "bad" mutation onto progeny. Natural selection.
If you can't grasp this simple concept, why are you here? The ignorant bile you spew works great with the sheep in a church.
Im talking the near ancestors of giraffe, a normal sized mammal, w no long neck, no advanced circulatory system , no heart capability for hard pumping, no supporting musculature system. At this point you’re going to need a miracle sequence of mutations to complete the giraffe. Who feels lucky for those particular mutations to take place?

Most of them are dead. There are only two extant reps of that lineage left. There used to be more, at least ten. More of a murder than a miracle.
We're still looking at an extant creature and marveling that the requirements of it's existence must have happened..but we know that they must have, because here they are.
You're teetering closer and closer to ex nihilo creation of giraffes. I wan't you to keep in mind that you also think that these mutations occurred, and that natural selection occurred, you just think that a tinkergod was involved. Guess he broke alot of eggs until he figured out how to giraffe, huh?

Those giraffe eggs are pretty big. But they sure make a lot of omelettes.

That pondering tells you nothing about it’s origins. My point stands that evolutionary theory is based on sheer luck

No, it's based on organic chemistry, but that doesn't matter, because whatever Luck was required..we obviously had that luck..here we are.
Let's put a pin in something so we don't have to wonder. Are you an intelligent design advocate, or do you favor creation ex nihilo....because if you believe in intelligent design...you think it happened exactly the same way that I do.
The only difference is that you believe a god was involved, whereas I can barely contain my laughter when I think about you believing as much.

It's based on the idea that an organism's reproductive fitness sifts out mutations that are detrimental to reproductive fitness and conserves mutations that are beneficial to an organism's reproductive fitness, causing them to become more frequent in the population of that species. Calling that sheer luck is like saying it's random chance that sediment settles into such orderly layers. Mutations are somewhat random, the 'sifting process' turns that randomness into order.

Randomized, is a pretty common term. There's a set of parameters that describe whether a possible mutation is viable. A set list of items is scrambled, the list is not entirely open. There's already order here, and, as you noted, further and even more explicit order is then applied.
It's pretty cool, really, in larger context. At the point of base organic chemistry, so many potential end states are still possible, but with every action and interaction that set is winnowed down.

I find it difficult to understand why, even given explanations that a child could understand, you still fail to grok it.
