For democrats, voter turnout is key. There were a dozen little things that went against Clinton in the last presidential election, any one of which could have gone the other way and she'd have won. We tend to focus on 'Bernie or bust' or 'Screw 'em, I'm voting for Jill Stein' or Russian interference scenarios when the millions of people who didn't cast a vote overwhelm all of that. She needed a turnout like in 2008 and got one like in 2012, and the difference was only a couple percent.

If you're going to allow such trivialities to divide you, it's just going to be another four years of Trump.
Vote Blue, no matter who.
Weren't you adamant about not voting at all a few years ago? I mean, its a good thing you decided to vote, its a previlege we have. What changed?

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I'm staying at home.
No, I won't bemoan the outcome. If I can be given even 1 reason why the same result won't occur then I'll bother.

If just any democrat could actually beat him, there wouldn't be as big a problem. Now if I was going to place a bet on who could beat him, I'd bet on the most popular senator in the country to do it.

It depends on if Democrats are actually committed to anti-Trump or are willing to settle for Trump-lite.
Based on what I’ve read, I’m not at all confident that there are enough progressives to put Sanders over the top.

Sanders has a ton of baggage the GOP has been saving in hopes that Sanders will be the nominee, then they'll let him have it. Like his support of the Sandinistas; he was right to oppose US invasion of Nicaragua but his vocal support for the Ortega regime decades ago is going to bite him on the ass in the general election and make it easier for Trump to paint him as not just a socialist, but a communist. What's the point of nominating a progressive if they can't beat Trump in the battleground states: Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin?
If Bernie gets the nomination, he's got my vote and my sincere hope that he will prevail against Trump; but the night before the South Carolina primary, I'm going to check which candidate is currently doing the best in those states and vote for that one. If it's Bernie, well and good. If it's someone else, they get my primary vote.

Bernie has the advantage of being a genuine populist, unlike Trump. I hope we at least get the chance to see them go head to head, and settle it.
