Even worse is the fact that many of these people are HIV positive yet still promote unsafe sex.

It's Conservative abstinence only types that shoved it to the back because "if we talk about sex it promotes promiscuity" line

Conservatives don't talk about it and Liberals are too focused on gender neutral toilets at gay pride festivals.
Considering that the liberals have the power in education and are preaching all these sexual practices directly to the youth  I'd say they are more to blame.

1.  If your syphilis story is irrelevant, why bring it up?

2.  You said you were condoning risky sexual behaviour when you wrote

 It's the act that im condoning rather than individuals,

3.  You were pretty clear that the only option to virginity is being a slut.

Nothing idiotic about teaching your daughter not to be a slut but to use a rubber if she does.

4.  Fair enough, I phrased it badly.  Suppose you lived in a society where is was forbidden (or at least discouraged) for the government, media and schools to promote or even talk about the dangers of skydiving.  Would it still be the dead parachutist's fault?

You are responsible for your own sexual health, know going in that there is risk with sex and if you choose to take that risk then you bare the responsibility. If you contract an STD its not because other people are having anal sex, its because you didnt protect yourself or you got unlucky. I have had anal sex with evey girlfriend I have had since highschool and never had an STD because we were as safe as we could possibly be.

I feel like the OP was trying to create a slippery slope, he really wants to show anal sex is harmful so he can say homosexuality is harmful, just my opinion.
