Pence to receive vaccine on Friday, Biden next week some time

Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence will receive the vaccine at the White House. Pence’s office said they will get the shot “publicly” to promote the safety and efficacy of the vaccine and “build confidence among the American people.”

The Pences will be joined by Surgeon General Jerome Adams, who will also receive the vaccine, Pence’s office said.

I am not surprised. I always thought Pence was much smarter than Trump.

I was going to post about how, back when we weren't sure about masks, Dad posted some pictures of plague doctors, and even linked to the Down the Rabbit Hole episode on plague doctors, but now I can't help but notice that that bag lady isn't wearing a mask.

One of the residents at work I care deeply about got sick the other morning. I was freaking out. She's older, in her early nineties, still has her mind and wits about her, and she's funny as heck. She can be annoying sometimes, but that's to be expected at her age.

She's a normal get-up at 6am every morning. I tried getting her up, but then she began puking. I changed her gown three times that morning, removed her false teeth because they were in the way when she was attempting to discharge from her mouth, and the only thing she cared about was wanting her teeth back in for breakfast.

Before I left that morning, I kept checking in on her. I was so worried, I bothered the nurse because I thought the resident was breathing too heavily. I was just upset, afraid of losing this woman.

I was off work last night, and I am hoping that this resident has improved. She already has respiratory issues, so it's surprising that C-19 hasn't reached her yet. I'm afraid it might have. I'll find out tonight.
