Surely you can find somewhere that is in tune with your particular brand of belief.

I thought we were getting a new crop because it's Lent.  But it appears that isn't the case.

We have a new crop because the believers seem to think we need to hear from representatives of all the faiths.

Fanfuckingtastic.

Do you mean to tell my that I'm not welcome here?

I thought atheists was more open minded than that.

Atheists sometimes talk about how religious people can be rude and hateful, but you as an atheist are doing the same thing they are probably doing.

You are welcome to join in.

Not so sure preaching and promoting your faith is all that welcome.

There are a lot of threads and topics here.  Why not present yourself as a person and not simply a spokesperson for your faith?

Again, I ask, why are you here?

Those individuals include, Jesus Christ, Moses, the Buddha, Prophet Muhammad and the Bab, all are divine Messengers / Teachers from God and Baha'u'llah is the latest of these divine Messengers / Teachers. The word Baha'u'llah means the glory of God.

Just like those who follow Jesus Christ are called christians and those who follow Prophet Muhammad are called muslims, we who follow Baha'u'llah are called baha'is.

We believe in the concept of progressive revelation, meaning that in each age around about 1000 years and in different places God manifest an individual to be a divine Messenger / Teacher to guide humanity to the right spiritual path.

Baha'i faith has no heaven or hell, this is already a huge theoretical problem. And if you believe Muhammad is a prophet, you should also believe everything he claimed is true - and being the last prophet is one of these things. If Muhammad is the last prophet then your progressive concept goes out of the window.

Pick one : Baha'u'llah is the last prophet / Muhammad is the last prophet.

There is no theoretical problem with islam and the baha'i faith.

All of the divine revelations has come to the world in different time periods, that means that whatever was taught by the past revelations, those revelations was suited for that particular time and age. And the teachings was taught according to the capacity of the people of the time. The thing is that the social teachings has to be tweaked or even downright changed according to the time and age it's revealed. But it is the spiritual principles, such as "do unto others as you would do unto yourself," that never changes. So islam itself is a revelation of old and is not relevant for our time and age.

Baha'u'llah already talked about the true meanings of when Prophet Muhammad said "seal of the prophets".

Heaven and hell doesn't mean what you think it means ether.

So the perspective that I have is that, we will never fully and completely know God.

The only way to know God is to know His names and attributes.

Even though the human being is an animal just like all other species, we are distinct because we have a divine reality.

The human being has the potential to display all of the names and attributes of God at the highest level, that's what makes us have dominion over the animal.

The names and attributes of God are basically all of the good qualities that is possible for the human being to have, it's just that society doesn't call them that.

The human being is the most perfect of all creation.

Wow. So many assertions here, and no evidence at all to support them. Try again.

Physical evidence?

Is any of that a fact?  I think that the only thing happening here, is that a human being is telling me how awesome human beings are.

I'd caution you against predicating your god beliefs on such inanity. That doesn't have to be true, for there to be some god..and if that being untrue rendered your beliefs false..then it would be a self inflicted wound.

Well, human beings are awesome, you don't agree with that?

The human being is awesome because we are the only ones that have a divine nature / reality.

I'm a human being, so we have to take my opinion with a grain of salt, but yeah..I think we're awesome.  I think a good shit at 6am is awesome too, doesn't mean that it's divine (I notice shitting wasn't on your list)...although my morning shits do make the sun come up.

No need to thank me, yet another service I provide.

Not directed at me, but it's actually not possible to "prove" your moral standards or religious beliefs by living them. That would only prove that you really believed. I already believe, as most others will believe...that you believe.

"The human being is the most perfect of all creation." if that is true why is it so badly designed? (a single opening for eating, breathing, drinking and speaking - that's a stupid design, you wouldn't make a car with one hole for fuel, air, and water)

Wow, it seems like you're saying that we as human beings shouldn't introduce anything to each other. And if I'm not mistaking, that's how we start conversations.

Why am I'm here ask? To talk and have a conversation amongs other human beings.

Guess what, it is only the human being that makes the good stuff at 6am.

Once again this is about our divine nature, not physical nature.

You mean to tell me you don't display what you believe in by how you tread and actually live your life each day?

Well the thing is, we don't have dominion over other species because we are physical, obviously other animals is physically superior than we are. We have dominion over the animal because we have a divine reality.

RE: A possibly new perspective on this thing that we know as God.
Displaying what we believe in, and proving that what we believe in is true...not even remotely the same thing. People live walk and breath islamic terrorism and white supremacy, just as quick examples.

I don't think that you're going to make any headway with this divine nature stuff, the way you've described it. Scrub the trivially false assertions...and fwiw, if this divine business is worth respecting..isn't that the least you can do?
