What is the history behind this forum? I see it looks just like The Thinking Atheist used to look, so I was thinking this is the place that members from TTA have gone after it shut down. Am I right, are there ex-TTA memebers here? Is this the "new" TTA, or was this an original forum, that just looks lik old TTA?

There's a forum that promotes itself as the place TTA members are now. For a while several people came here. There was some shuffling of who is where but it seems to have settled down. I was anjele on TTA. Definitely remember you.
With all the musical forum chairs going on some people who were from here moved over to the new forum, some of the TTA members who came here left for the new forum once it was up and running. Of course there is overlap with some people on both forums.
Seth has nothing to do with the new forum. He got out of the forum hosting biz.

I was never a theist, so when I joined I was automatically a military atheist. Not very much a militant atheist, don't see why.

Hello people from this forum. I was a long time member, mod and admin on The Thinking Atheist and I miss my friends from TTA so I came here in hope some of you are here.
I am also happy to have great new discussions with new people.
I'm 38, from EU, Croatia, full blown military atheist.
Never met you before, but welcome. I grew up with a lot of Croatians here in the US; have you ever been to the States?
Anyway, it's always good to see new faces around here, so welcome.
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.

Haha nice. I buy a lottery ticket once in a blue moon... I justify it by telling myself that it's okay since I'm only throwing away money once in a while instead of on a weekly basis. I mean you never know. The people who've won probably thought they'd never win... and if you're not a nitwit, and decide to hire a professional to help you handle the money, until you are accustomed to being wealthy, you might actually not blow it all in five years... LOL
