I was referring to a cure for the spraying. Spray him first, when he starts the butt wiggle. After a while it won't be a fun thing.

A VU flashlight will reveal the spots he's hit, clean them up frequently and he'll be less likely to spray.

Squirting them doesn't hurt them, it's a negative reinforcement to reduce bad behaviour. You're doing them a favor by showing them what's allowed. They won't associate the spray of water with you.
