We can't have our cake and eat it too.

What's the point of having a cake if you can't eat it?

Doesn't make sense.

Looking at that list, I'm guessing that 90% of it applies to mankind in the last 100,000 years.
I think the real problem is life itself. Without it all those inherent problems go away also. Dunno
No their still problems .Cars are not a problem bad driving is .Alcohol isn't a problem the problems that go with it are .So yes we can have can have it too.Simply dismissing it as a "lifestyle choice " is reckless

No matter whether it's 100,000 or yesterday what matters is the here and the now .And again simply dismissing it as "a life problem " is silly .

Jebus! People are 5 times more likely to die from asteroid strike than a shark attack? *scratches head*

Why isn't accidental gunshot highlighted?
Would the rate of gunshot incidents be related in any way to drug use?
Meteorite strike rates higher because if/when it does happen it'll wipeout a whole city/state/continent in one go.

Funny - there's only an entry for 'Foreign-born terrorist'.  I guess we're safe from the native-born ones.  Smile

Because when a five year old finds a gun Mommy has stashed under the sofa cushions and kills his three year old sister it's tragic, but nothing we can do anything about.

Except insisting on secure storage perhaps...

You can leave a SAO semi-auto out unlocked in condition 3 and the only way a toddler is going to hurt someone with it is to beat them over the head with it.

And I'll bet most people here would say that's not true.

Go for it...

Show your ignorance.

I’m perfectly happy to accept that this is true, for a couple of reasons. One, you know more about firearms than I do. And two, I’m pretty much unconcerned with guns that won’t kill toddlers. That’s not the issue.

The fact that 5 yos do kill 3 yos with Mommy's gun is, I guess, irrelevant. Gotchas are all some people have. Even when they're lame gotchas.
