Cats do not even get covid19. There was a british recommendation for people to avoid letting their cats out of the house, not because they were in danger of infection, but because they could carry the virus on their fur from outside to the household.

They say this Corona only affects the bats, but so many other animals were suggested too. But maybe you're correct.

Getting over yourself is more suitable.
With or without cat, I smoke. Animal abuser is a big word indicating that I intentionally mistreat the animal with intention to cause them harm.

But when the case is about smoking, it's an indirect abuse; not just to the animal but to all humans too.
