I prefer the word "crime". Something we can and have to agree on.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

It’s a grey area.

Just found this and thought it would be fun to read, it wasn't.

Sin is simply a negative judgement with a religious twist. The type of religion determines the significance of the sin.

Cutting off testicles in most religions = sin. In Heaven's Gate, not so much.

Sin is the preposterous religious notion that The AllMighty Creator of the Universe cares what you do with your genitals.

Dante shows lust to be the least bad and most easily forgiven sin. The worst is pride.

Well, *DUH* obviously. That's why there are so many pedophiles in Vatican and catholic clergy - because they esily forgive them when they rape kids.

PRIEST: Father, I lusted over 50 kids last month.

CARDINAL: Oh, you are forgiven, you silly goose. Here, you have a mission in school in Central African Republic.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
