[Quranic Reflection]: By the sun and its morn
#21
RE: [Quranic Reflection]: By the sun and its morn
Magic book said there was a night and a day, and used flowery but innacurate language to describe them. How could they have known!

Yet another quranic miracle.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Also his description of ancient civilization understanding of day and  night is absurd
“The sun from far gives life. But get close to it and it burns anything down to ashes”

“No matter what men think, abortion is a fact of life. Women have always had them; they always have and they always will. Are they going to have good ones or bad ones? Will the good ones be reserved for the rich, while the poor women go to quacks?”

So it can be interpreted any way that the reader wants. What a wonderful religion. Great

No. It said: "by the sun and its morn". You can't interpret it as "the moon".
It said "by the moon when it follows it". You can't interpret it as "the sun when it follows".

You see where I'm going? the book literally said something, but you insist on something else.

Yeah, and that really is interesting. How different civilizations compose metaphors to describe such intrinsic things.

If we continue with the selected verse, for example...we see the utility of the metaphor during early islamic expansion in other references to the same

Quote:and His is the alternation of night and day.

Quote:He makes the night to go in the day and makes the day to go in the night. And He has subjected the sun and the moon. Each running (on a fixed course) for an appointed term. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving.

Is this not enough to know that we must obey him, and by extension his agents on the earth? He is the king of the sun and the moon. To seek his forgiveness and seek his rewards? Is a being so great that it can do that not worthy of our worship? Submit, and receive mercy.

Yet another quranic miracle.

Even if you saw God with your own eyes, you'll keep denying.
The Quran said that the moon follows the sun. But you -personally- keep saying "no"; even though you live it every day and night.

lol ?
