Oh so it is impossible for ABBA fans to disagree on what their favorite sons should be?

I don't know what galaxy you live in, but pretty sure among Eagles fans even they don't agree what the best song is.

Just so you know, while I do love Dancing Queen, IT IS NOT MY FAVORITE ABBA SONG.

Just like "Hotel California" is also NOT my favorite Eagles song.

Ironically "Life In The Fast Lane" IS my favorite Eagles song.

Don't look now but your foot is in your mouth. Would you like a breath mint?

This is one of my top 10 favorite jazz albums.

Yup, 'Random Shit' thread.  Thanks for clearing that up.

The original release of Hotel California in 1977 was part of the soundtrack of my early 20s.  The live version from the Hell Freezes Over tour in 1994 is better (IMHO).

I recently watched the documentary of this tour.  I really enjoyed their old stuff.  Not so much a fan of their new stuff though some new versions of the old stuff is pretty damn good.

Despite the year I hatched (84), I think the best music comes from the 70s and 80s. Apart from a few exceptions, music in general took a serious downhill spiral in the 90s.

Agreed.

I agree about 70s/80s music, but we can also allow that there are bright spots from all musical eras. This one, from 1946, is (for me) the most evocative, relatable love song ever written. Longing, angst, heartbreak, reconciliation - it’s all there and in due measure. Truly a remarkable piece of work.

Older people are not farts, but just like some of the young some older people are just plain farts.
The word "old" is used to insult the older farts: like in "dude your hair turned white/or lost altogether. and you still act like a fart"?

Older farts are worse because they give an excuse for younger farts to act that way.

Other than that, don't call yourself old fart just for age.

Words to live by.

Thanks for that.   Clap

On this date Brian37 has become a parody of himself. I am watching a recursive algorithm run amok.

Eagles started out low, peaked in the late 70s than ditched in the mid 80s. But to be fair, if you get that famous as a band, of any type, a decade is doing great.
