The plan, is not to shoot a drunk driver..which, remember, Brooks wasn't. Just like he doesn't have bricks for hands and isn't a hostage taker and never shot up a school.

DUIs are INVARIABLY arrested in the UK, these days anyway. Driven home to sleep it off....highly doubtful. Officers are not routinely armed with guns which rather levels the playing field and friendlies things up compared to the situation in the states.

Which is strange, since being a cop isn't a dangerous job. Not sure what field is being leveled.
I recall the last time I looked this up I discovered that they were padding their stats just to get there. They've been known to count dogs. Fucking dogs. They also count officers involved in duis. As in the officer was drunk.

When they found him, he wasn’t driving.

For all that murderous piece of shit knew, Brooks realized he was drunk and pulled over to keep from hurting anyone.
Can't ask him now. He'll never see a conviction in court, and he won;t have the chance to be exhonorated for whatever he may have been falsely accused of, had he been allowed to live.

The basic idea of policing with consent is that cops behave in a manner that makes people want to have them around. It means behaving with professionalism, restraint, integrity and accountability.
What it does NOT mean is that cops are prohibited from using force or deadly force, that they should stand idly by while you are playing out your rape and murder fantasies. Force is not only sometimes an option, sometimes it is the only option.
If Brooks had been passed out drunk in a drive-through in the UK, the most likely outcome is that the cops would have driven him home to sleep it off.
You’d do well to look up ‘Peelian Principles’ to get a better idea of policing by consent.

So your plan is to let drunk drivers slide - add kill far more people than cops EVER did...
Nice plan.. I suspect you're a big fan of alcohol...
Who says let drunk drivers slide? Not me. When Brooks was found, he was passed out in a parked car. I’m sure the laws are different in the US, but in the UK and most commonwealth countries, his crime would have been to be drunk in public. The usual result of which is to be driven home or a night in the drunk tank. Sometimes a fine.
I haven’t had a drink in 16 years, so no, I’m not particularly a fan of alcohol.

Wasn't he in the drive-thru? Which would mean that he drove there and not that he pulled over somewhere to sleep it off.
I am not looking for an argument. Just asking a question to make sure I have the facts right on that.
