Could the DC mayor mandate masks in all public places? That would at least force all the politician to indeed pick a side and stop pussy footing around.

Gov. Greg Abbott issued a nearly statewide mask mandate Thursday as Texas scrambles to get its coronavirus surge under control.
The order requires Texans living in counties with 20 or more positive COVID-19 cases to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth while inside a business or other building open to the public, as well as outdoor public spaces, whenever social distancing is not possible. But it provides several exceptions, including children who are younger than 10 years old, people who have a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask, people who are eating or drinking and people who are exercising outdoors.
Guess I better get busy and finish the masks I am in the process of making.
Luckily I got two more in the mail this week...

I've seen quite a drop-off in mask wearing here in my burg in California. The governor was on today talking about it being highly recommended but that the counties are responsible for setting their own requirements based on infection rates. I wear one when I'm out and about, because I have to answer to a higher authority than the governor- my wife...and to potentially save my own ass, when other people just bitch about how much CO2 and CO they don't get rid of when using a mask. It's bullshit, but then the most of them voted for president TRE45ON, so it stands to reason.

I've been seeing some pretty interesting homemade masks at the grocery store as of late. A woman was wearing one that I swear she made from one of her sanitary napkins. I saw a guy last week who looked like an Irish pirate. Another fellow looked like an Al Qaeda terrorist. There was one man who looked like he was about to rob a stage coach. Regardless of what the masks look like, right now you can't get in the store without one.

Here are a half dozen reversible masks I finished today. I have another six to finish that are over halfway complete.
Every mask is a different pattern on each side.

So people are marching in Florida protesting against a mandatory mask order and chanting “My body. My choice.”
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I bet they're the same pricks who would deny a woman the same rights.

Democrats have tried again and again to work with republicans, its the republicans that are intrenched and wont play nice.
