I had to ponder this....

I don't have any hard data - but I'm guessing that partial necro-cannibalism isn't that widespread.

I can only assume it due to the pervasive continued existance of politicians .......

Military grade tear gas is the only thing that will clear a room faster than a broccoli fart.

Yeah.

Sure.

So -how come every six months or so - some wingnut comes up with a new plant based product that tastes like meat? Soy hamburger. Kale bacon. Wheatgerm extract chicken?

Does meat have taste of its own or is it all spices?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I eat meat mostly with no spices. If it's fish, like salmon, I use nothing. I like the taste of meat. It doesn't need a bunch of sauce on it.

When I was vegan, I was a huge fan of tofu, considering that the alternative meat products were too expensive.

To answer to OB. From what I understand they make these "meats" for people who eat meat so that they eat less meat by switching to that plant-based meat and lower all the negative stuff that comes from excessive eating farm-grown meat.

But they also exist because there is a strong meat culture. For instance, people want to buy a hot dog on the street so they get a vegan one. Or they want to invite people for barbecue so they get plant-based stakes. They want to go with friends to a fast food joint so they go to the vegan one.

Also, OB presumes vegans can't stand the taste of meat, but that is not true. Vegans have many reasons for not eating meat. They may even like eating meat but don't want to because of health issues, or they feel sorry for animals in cages, etc.

Seems if this stuff tasted better than meat - there would be a big market for meat that tastes like plants. Pork base beansprouts. Chicken base broccoli. Iguana spinach...

Not seeing these in the supermarket...

What gives?

To get meat eaters to eat less meat and end the exploitation of animals for food i highly doubt any of them are eating those products (if this is actually an argument they really make and your not talking out your ass)

I don't eat real or plant-based meat.
Don't like either.

Also, most people I know who eat plant-based meat are eating it more for health reasons than for ethical reasons.

Also, why do you care? People give vegans so much shit for supposedly being holier-than-thou, but I can assure you that meat eaters have WAY more to say to us than we do to them.

IDK, man. Vegans eat a LOT of beans.
That's a lot of gas-power.
