Not surprised.

He's a committed Happy Clapper . He's also a dill, unempathic and judgemental. For such a committed Christian,  seems to be willing to show compassion only to people just like him.

From time to time I'll opine that Aussies have a healthy contempt for politicians. Now I can't really say that as a general rule, but I can say it about myself.

The idea that straight black people are getting a raw deal and that LBGT black people a getting favored is simply false statistically and can only be propped up by arbitrary criteria and mere incidents.

The objections have nothing to do with "movies portraying positive straight black men" the objection was that the idea that the father is getting credit for the daughter's hard work and it's not even close to ALL white feminists or LGBT people. Now I don't agree with this at all. But at least address what the object actually is. It has nothing to do with the farther being straight or black. So this objection fails. Oh, and there has been plenty of positive depictions of black fathers.

You do realize the Williams sisters were the executive producers of the movie, THEY made it about their dad, so tell me what right do these other groups have to be mad? It's safe to say that without him, they wouldn't be where they are.

Which I clearly said I disagree and we don't know if they would have made without their farther or not  Dodgy

My statement was never about them being right it was about you misrepresenting their objections .....Seriously this is why I don't deal with you directly anymore  Dodgy

Extremely arbitrary criteria.

Objections to a work of art don’t even have to be valid to set certain circles of the Internet in a tizzy. If people actually checked to make sure their objections to something are actually valid, we wouldn’t have groups like Qanon, would we?

And here’s a case study in how people can be thrown into an absolute tizzy over fuck-all. Namely, that the designer of a controversial game allegedly had sex with a game reviewer in exchange for a positive review (and by a positive review, I mean an article with a cheeky title, a list of 50 games, and five words about it of which two were the game’s title and a third being the software it was made with; as well as another article about a failed reality show pilot they took part in that only quoted a blog post from said designer), and that this would somehow cause her to profit from a game that costs absolutely nothing to download and play.

Oh, they are not correct. But still, their actual objection should be dealt with.

Yeah, if you’re going to object to someone’s objections, it would probably be a good idea to get a handle on what said objections actually are if you plan on destroying them with facts and logic.
