It's just by sheer luck that you were born where you were, otherwise you'd be swearing black and blue that Allah is God. Or Vishnu?

But be grateful that you hit the jackpot and are worshipping the correct ONE TRUE GOD™! Dodgy because the other 4 billion pilgrims devote their lives to false Gods. And die for him. And kill others for him.
How lucky are you! Big Grin

Sorry matey, your indoctrination has tied your logic circuits in a knot. True story™.

I have thought about that. My God has certain values that I believe are correct to follow.  I don't know what else to say.

Strange that most christians come from christian familes, most muslims come from muslim families, most ... etc...etc...
Very few seem to look at all the worlds religions and all their gods before deciding which one is "true"
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it!

Indoctrinated against their will, but most adults seem to be okay with doing it to their own kids. So much non-thinking needed.

“Man is the religious animal. He is the only religious animal. He is the only animal that has the true religion--several of them. He is the only animal that loves his neighbor as himself and cuts his throat if his theology isn't straight. He has made a graveyard of the globe in trying his honest best to smooth his brother's path to happiness and heaven.” (Mark Twain)  Read

They are thinking. Why the insult to their intelligence? Atheists aren't the exclusive pros at thinking.

That theists think is debatable.

O wise one, I am always in awe at your ability to come up with consistently inspiring and thoughtful posts. Worship

Most people (including atheists) think that they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices.

I disagree with Samuel there. Religion is just a tool of the powerful.

But you do realize that someone raised in Israel or India or Mali or Yemen could make the same observation, right? Part of the reason you believe those certain values are correct to follow is that they are the values you were raised with (not to mention the values of your God are actually rather horrifying if you go by what it says about him in the Bible rather than what your Sunday School teacher taught you, he says, speaking from experience).
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
