To give you another hint: The battle of Vaslui was so much imagined, and Stephen so much less feared and respected than Vlad (his cousin, actually), that you can see Stephens sword in the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul today. If you desire to get rid of your ignorance that is.

One could even make the point that Tepes was cleverer than Hermann the German. Arminius used Roman tactics to defeat the Romans, whereas Vlad was a true original.

I would say arminius used his knowledge of roman tactics to defeat the romans, namely his conclusion that you cant defeat the Romans in a pitched battle on an open field. He led them into a trap, much like Stephen at Vaslui.

Another thing about Vlad and his cousin Stephen is very intriguing (and i am not putting vlaue son anything, just reporting interesting facts): Both used scorched earth tactics and guerilla warfare. Both were quite successful and asked the kingdom of Hungary and the Holy Roman Empire for help, but got noe of it. One can only wonder what may hhave happened (or not) on the balcans if tens of thousands of knights would have been sent by the Emperor. Its also telling in and of itself how little the hungarian king or german emperor cared abou those balkanese orthodox christians and their problems with invading Ottomans. Amost a replay of what happened when the crusaders Pushed Asia Minor, Antioch and Edessa and the rest of the Muslim world was going *meh*.

You are operating under the wrong assumption that everyone is an unicivilized savage like you who loves to impose permanent physcial harm or death penalties for minor (if any at all) offenses.

You are also operating under the wrong assumption that one must have an opinion when reporting facts. The fact that i report certain facts does not mean i support what happened. We know you are operating under exactly that modus operandi. Others however arent. See above.
