No, the riots aren’t Trumps fault, and I never said they were. But not being his fault is a piss poor excuse for sitting back and watching your cities burn as part of a re-election strategy.

Boru

Micromanagment is not part of the President's job.

The people of Kenosha are the problem.

The people that they elected - mayor and other local government - plus those in State government that were elected by the people of that state - have fucked the pooch and allowed their constituents to turn things into shit.

NOW -they want to blame somebody...

Hey - go after the President.... He's one of that "other" party......

Yeah Trump is a knock kneed moron.

We know.

So, in other words, the shit Trump is spewing about "Biden's America" is just pure bullshit and Trump isn't responsible for heightening tensions anywhere?

The Reader's Digest version - The Big Two are making political hay.

The only reason they would stay clean of unwarranted, untrue accusations is if they thought it would lose them a vote.

That's the whole point behind his wanting to go there.

There is no other reason for anyone to go willingly to Kenosha.
True.

But doesn't that apply to the protestors as well?

Not in the slightest - because police brutality and systemic racism were already burning, and will continue to burn - no matter what anyone does or doesn't do.

You asked, did you want an answer that respected facts in mere reality, or was it a rhetorical question posed by primetime ideology?

I'm glad you agree that trumps visit is shit - and since the thing that makes it shit doesn't apply to protestors - and since it would still be the presidents job to deal with..even if it did..

...what was your objection, again?

Let's try this another way. Who wouldn't want to keep that traitorous piece of racist filth out of their city, and what could their reasons for allowing him into their city be? Diversity, you think? Are they short on fat old white guys in kenosha wisconsin?

The POTUS should be setting an example...and not the kind of example Trump is setting.

John Q Public shouldn't be held to the same standards as POTUS.

Let's not forget that POTUS has the mic and his actions will have much broader reach than that of protesters.

There's the rub - there's a number of people in the us who, like olb, think that the example set by trump is shit - but politically acceptable.

Whereas the example of people violently rising up against longstanding abuse, black, white, brown....isn't.

If we wake up and find ourselves in a society full of and run by incompent and buffoonishly racist people, we shouldn't be surprised.

You're not allowed to actually fight against it - that would be bad, mmkay.

Potus had the mic?

Maybe on Fox.... Pretty much every other news outlet questions his every action - and inaction....

In this case I believe - the mob is getting the most unfettered face time....

Still clutching pearls about mobs. I hear that it takes a bell to train a dog like that.

You'd think right now the president would address the nation to say something healing but I think Trump is incapable.

Healing isn't part of his reelection strategy. More the opposite of that.
