The Truth about Ethnicity

Claiming ethnicity is not about where your ancestors came from.

It is picking a period of time - and saying "my family starts here." It is also denying that the group you pick as ancestors (geoligically) were once immigrants to that area.

The Irish did not evolve in Ireland.

So if you identify as "white" you are denying your oldest ancestors - the humans that evolved in the Rift Valley in Africa.

And - as old time racists noted - one drop of black blood makes you black........

Conclusion - we're all black....

So why are you such a right wing nut?

Scientists have been saying forever, that all humans started out in Africa. 

If you cant have your guns and corporate greed, you have to point out that liberals, whom are not anti gun or anti private sector, we are always to blame for social ills.

That does not change inequity exists. The right is responsible, not the left.

I wasn't accusing you of corporate greed  But you damned sure act like billionaires are a fucking cure for humanity. If that were the case, we wouldn't have had the great depression, the great recession, Enron, Wells Fargo, Genex and coal ash.

A reggae-singing US born Rasta with Iranian parents and dreds to his ass recently asked me, "Do you ever check native instead of white?"  His Ethiopian girlfriend snickered.  I said no, but when someone mispronounces my last name with a Spanish accent, I don't correct them.  My Irish/Puerto Rican wife loves it when people do that.

The "melting pot" was never a good idea.  We should view our country as a Lite Brite.
