That’s kind of the point. SPAM isn’t particularly fattening, but it’s high enough in fat, salt and cholesterol to be an issue for arteries.

I'm finding this thread weirdly fascinating.

I have never had actual spam. As a kid of the late 60's, I can recall seeing the distinct cans on supermarket shelves, but haven't seen it in decades. So I decided to check availability here. Sure enough, one cannot buy it. (Dublin, Ireland). The Spam homepage helpfully suggested Dublin, Ohio, but thousands of miles and several flights seems a bit extreme for to get a can.

The thread here reminds me of Marmite discussions. It is the same love/loathe situation.
