Question About Republicans

Question About Republicans
Do they have short-term memory issues in all areas of life or is it just a problem they have when they're talking about politics?

RE: Question About Republicans
I think the accuracy of their memory is directly linked to what it most beneficial to them at any moment.

RE: Question About Republicans
Post policy political nihilists. It's not a memory problem, it's a death cult.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

RE: Question About Republicans
It is most definitely an oversimplification but there are many one issue voters who choose red because of their one pet issue. The two that come to mind are Guns and abortion. Those are the two groups who will push for red because they know only the GOP will support their agenda. There is a similar amount of the same voting blue no matter who. The fact that we can't come together and realize that there are more important things than these fringe issues is what is crazy.

-and that same group that votes against that same issue consumes the majority of the same service. One issue voters don't believe in that garbage either - that's just their excuse to troll you.

Generally true, I think, but many in the Cult of Trump™ will vote for him even with his proven track record that whatever he does is only for him and his cronies.

Even when those policies are clearly detrimental to them.

OK, good retort. I'd forgotten. I'm an old man. What's their excuse?

Indeed. Just watch part of a rally. Rolleyes If he says anything, stupid or otherwise (pff) his worshipers go ape-shit with applause. Stupid shits that wear t-shirts claiming, "I'd rather be a Russian than a Democrat" come to mind. There they sit, drinking the tainted run-off from the coal mine that the chump had one of his henchmen deregulate the effluents from, and not complaining.  Huh
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
