Wasn't really convenience so much as normal day on the job. They've only been required to wear active body cams since the shooting.

Kentucky AG Daniel Cameron, who'd agreed to release grand jury transcripts in response to public pressure yesterday, today, seeks to delay release of grand jury transcripts. On the 23rd he claimed to have presented "every homicide offense, and also presented all of the information that was available" to the grand jury. He had not, he now concedes, done any such thing.
Walker is now suing the police for misconduct and asking that they be barred from arresting him again, citing right of defense - kentucky is a stand your ground state and he is a licensed gun owner.

John Mattingly, one of the officers who broke into Breonna Taylor's home and murdered her in her sleep as Kenneth Walker frantically dialed the cops for help..is now suing Walker for assault and emotional distress.
The best part, is that there's no conclusive evidence that the round which struck Mattingly in the leg was even fired from Walkers gun..and given the account and subsequent slap on the wrist charges....it seems pretty likely that he got shot by one of his own idiotic friends.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that's why Hankison prowled then fled the scene afterwards, and why he disappeared to no one knows where to no known end... in a violation of protocol that surprised every other officer at the scene. He shot his friend, his friends shot Taylor. pewpewpew
The fact that the police dept has shopped around for months now to get a ballistics report to deny this and couldn't scare one up is damning even if that's not how it played out. Anyone else here expect the police to know when the cops are shooting at each other? Or are we all as confused as Walker must have been that evening? Turns out they don't know what happened that night, or, at least, that's their official position to the courts.
