read the the noah account again sport. he did not kill humans. he killed neiphium that had taken over. according to the book of enoch they ate people. genesis says that wicked generation worshiped these angel demon hybrids/demi gods. this means sacrifice... what do you think these worshipers sacrificed to their ravenously hungry gods when all their food ran out? how could they worship if they sacrificed themselves? their children smart guy.. God killed these monster and the monster who sacrificed their children to satiate these demon hybrids.
Quote:He hated us so much, that he preferred joining forces with the devil to torture poor Job.
no only a twisted brainwashed mind would take that from the book of job. i see a god who challenged satan or tested satan by allowing him to challenge job.. no where in that challenge did satan have to be evil to job. God did not say you must hurt or take from job. Satan could have very well sideed up next to job and become his best friend told him how to invest and made him a quadrillionaire, offered him immortality offered him anything this world offers. but no. satan allowed his true nature to show itself and he all but destroyed job!!!
Quote:He hates us so much that he allows the devil to live when he has no problems allowing children to starve, be raped, and die of cancer.
[/quote the devil owns us moron.. if he were to destroy the devil with us in our unsaved state we would also be destroyed. we are on the divls side. being born into sin means we were born slaves of satan as his servants we share his fate unless we openly rebell and accept the offer of atonement Christ died for.

and you are not much of a thinker, when you have to ignore and change what the bible says to make your accusations stick!

That's just plain wrong.  The Nephilum are a placeholder for myths of supermen or giants.  Basically like Greek demigods.  Are you literally saying that there were no humans left on Earth?  Then where did Noah come from?

No reading of the bible supports your interpretation. Plus, do you really believe the story?

I see it more as a bet.  Satan bet God that if Job had everything he had taken away, Job would curse God.  God basically said "the bet's on - just don't touch Job himself".

God explicitly gave Satan permission to take away all that Job had.  Including his family (as family are possessions under a patriarchy).

God's only answer for why he allowed the bet was so that God would be glorified in being proved right, and in restoring Job with riches and a new family (the old ones being dead).

The moral of Job (my interpretation) is "bad things happen because God just wants it that way.  Maybe you'll get something good in the end if you keep praising God in your misery".

No Drich, you are the one who doesn't know the Bible, again. Nephilim survived the flood.

Quote:Numbers 13:33
We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The world needs more giants and fewer christians. Seems like god fucked that one up. The story of job helps to explain why. A disembodied voice speaks..

Can anyone be righteous in the sight of a god or be pure before his creator? God does not trust his heavenly servants; he finds fault even with his angels.

The game is rigged.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. You can’t have it both ways. You said that God ‘did not kill humans’, then you say that God killed the worshippers of the angel demon hybrids (we’ll set aside the troubling aspect of that particular breeding programme).

So, if God didn’t kill humans, who were these worshippers? If they weren’t humans, why was God so displeased by their actions? If they WERE humans, why did God have to destroy nearly an entire biosphere to get shut of them?

Maybe you should pray about this and trust in Jesus to sort it out for you.

I call the this essay:

Jesus, the baby killer

When talking about evil God have you noticed that God's revolting son, Jesus, was a baby killer? Jesus' entrance into the world came with the murder of many innocent little children.

The slaughter of the innocents was planned by God. Just look at all the divine interventions there had been: The angel appearing to Mary; the angel appearing to Joseph to calm his nerves; angels appear to shepherds to tell them about baby Jesus; angels appear to the wise men to warn them not to go back to Herod; an angel appears to Joseph to warn him of Herod preparing to kill the children in Bethlehem.

So many heavenly warnings were used quite often in preparing the way for Baby Jesus, and yet there was one specific intervention that was conveniently left out: warning the wise men NOT to visit Herod in the first place!!

Had the wise men never sought Herod's help in looking for Jesus, Herod would have never sent out orders to kill all of the children under two. Sparing the lives and suffering of the children and their parents was never part of God's/ Jesus' plan.

The plan, for some reason, had to involve many murdered children, and probably the wailing and gnashing of teeth of the parents of the murdered children.

Drich keeps telling us to read the Noah account when the Noah account is later in Genesis than the reference to Nephelim and doesn't mention them.
