[Quranic Reflection]: The tranquillity men find in women and women find in men
#11
RE: [Quranic Reflection]: The tranquillity men find in women and women find in men
Have you met your 'mate' yet, @WinterHold ?

I'm of the opinion that this culture that you have to have a SO to be happy is an insult to all those who are simply happy without a SO. We're all so bloody varied that there are plenty of people who are fine by their lonesome, romantically speaking, and still be a part of a Community. There does exist something called asexuality, ya know.

If you equalize the performance of people with the message they claim to hold, then you are a very ignorant person lacking experience in life; or perhaps "acting a fool" on purpose.

If you may elaborate on the meaning of "SO", because I don't know what you mean.

And I’m likely to repeat it more, for as long as Muslim men are idiotic enough to think they have the divine right to physically chastise their wives and children.

This magic sky pixie of yours must really have a thing for seahorses, they mate for life. As do several other creatures, sad that the most devine creation isn't one of those creatures.

With all that is flawed in creation, it's almost as if a perfect creator is nothing more than a fairy tale.

( 21 )   And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

The tranquillity men find in women and women find in men is the ultimate form of relief from life's stress and the ultimate form of tranquillity. Only when we find our perfect mate is when we feel our missing part is finally whole again, humans are made from one soul after all:
Bold Italics mine...
If all humans are made from one soul I need some explanation how finding the perfect mate makes a person feel whole?
Makes no damn sense.  If all humans are one soul that soul is complete...is it not?

It is even proved biologically: female XX unite with male XY to produce the full human, it is only after 5 weeks do the fetus displays its gender:

Quote:A human fetus does not develop its external sexual organs until seven weeks after fertilization. The fetus appears to be sexually indifferent, looking neither like a male or a female. Over the next five weeks, the fetus begins producing hormones that cause its sex organs to grow into either male or female organs.

We are created from one soul, then the gender is specified.

Surely you can't say this crap with a straight face.

And...you dodged my question.  Typical of you so not unexpected.

I should also say that this is usual everyday knowledge to a Quran reader -even before 1400 years-:

Quote:Sura 7, The Quran:
https://quran.ksu.edu.sa/index.php?l=en#...rans=en_sh

( 189 )   It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her. And when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allah, their Lord, "If You should give us a good [child], we will surely be among the grateful."

Not dodging anything.
I even brought you a credible link + a Quranic verse. It is my faith; so...I'm quite serious

If you have to resort to a link that means you can't explain it.

SO = significant other

Just an initialism for a partner.
