NZ's PM just won re-election by a landslide.

No coalition government for the first time in years.

I chuckled out loud when Ardern was asked if she’d ever smoked weed. She said, ‘Sure, when I was younger,’ and the entire country responded with a shrug of apathy.

Even with a Biden win, there is a good chance I will go. The problem is that Trump is a symptom, but there is still an underlying disease that is eating our country from within. That it is even possible for Trump to have a 35-40% approval rating just means I don't belong here.

The biggest issue is finding a job overseas.

This.
Money and a job are issues, otherwise I would have been out of here 4 years ago. The U.S. is a failed democracy.

If? This is the most optimism I've seen from you OB

Wasn't it Clinton (of it depends on what "is" is fame) who said he smoked pot but didn't inhale?

If you were so inclined, Canada wouldn’t have been a bad choice. Word is, they’ve learned to speak some English there, so you wouldn’t have to learn Canadese.

I think it was, yes. Here, people aren’t all that fussed about it. The notion that our 40 year old prime minister used to get high in her teens and twenties isn’t really something people care about.

Under a recent referendum - which we STILL haven’t gotten the results for - people over the age of 20 could legally purchase up to 24g of weed per day and/or grow their own (two plants only). Penalties for possessing larger amounts and for DUI wouldn’t change.
