Zakir Naik: "It is wrong to outwardly dispay your religiosity..."

UHm.. No. Am pretty sure you can wear the Burhk and other such things as they relate to one's faith. Pretty sure the French aren't stopping certain religious groups from carrying their ceremonial knives.

What he [i]was[i] saying is that France being a secualr country one group does NOT have the right to impose their religion physically upon others.

I mean, why aren't Muslims the world over creating artistic works to make fun of the French, or the French president etc?

Not at work.

This is not a *cartoon* incident*, its a "people got murdered because some muslims felt offended* incident.
...and you know it.

Your dishonesty and lack of humanity only shows how bankrupt your religion is.

How many threads have you created mouring the victims, and how many threads have you made effectively victim blaming and putting your own fake victimhood on display? Its embarassing and disgusting beyond belief.

Yes, he condemned the crime and told Muslims that "our enemies want Muslims to do such crimes" in order to justify their oppression.

In America and the west, nobody has the right to murder anyone over merely getting offended, it doesn't matter what the topic is.

If my late mother were still alive, and someone came up to her and said, "You are a fucking bitch, and you like swallowing pig piss" to her face, yea, that would piss me off, but if I kill that person, I am going to prison.

Any atheist reading this now, has a story, or many, where we are called evil, where we get accused of loving Stalin and Hitler, we get told we are going to burn in hell. So if it were legal for us to murder people for offending us, there would be a ton of dead theists.

Civility in the west isn't based on submission to anyone, but common law. We don't have to like what others say, but nobody has dominance over the other, and nobody has the right to murder someone merely because they got offended.

I bold the part that "really makes you or any other person in the west from killing": the law's grip is strong and it can reach the person who commit crime.

Unlike the Middle East, where law is very very corrupt, and under total control of totalitarian dictators.
It's not civility either. Let a government falls in the west; and you shall see chaos.

Actually, we're seeing a part of that chaos in America under Trump.

You give humans too much credit.

Uggggg....

Nobody is claiming our system is perfect, and especially right now we have had 5 years of a fucking asshole trying to destroy our system. Nothing is a given long term, and?

But the difference in the west is we have a longer history of pluralism and common law.

I give humans too much credit? But how selective you are because Muslims are humans too? Is it that you only want Muslims to get credit? And if everyone submits to Allah, then everything will be ok?

Nope, that is not how reality works.

Ultimately if humans end up killing ourselves off, it will not be because of a sky hero by any name, but our species inability to recognize that the world's resources are not infinite, and focusing on ideology, and religion, and politics won't change the fact we are the same species.

Right now the fossil fuel industry is fucking up where you live, fucking up China, fucking up Australia, fucking up South America, fucking up Africa, fucking up America, and every nation in the world.

So no, I don't give humans too much credit, but I do hope we are smart enough to at least try to save ourselves and put the bullshit aside.
