Trump's real plan is this:

He knows he lost the election, but wants to stay on brand that he will never stop fighting the hard left so in case he does decide to run in 2024 or create Trump TV, he won't lose his base. Its political theater and while I find it annoying, objectively it is very smart on his part if he decides to continue his political career whether in Washington or through the news media. He will leave office in January even if he never officially says he lost.

As someone who lives in the reddest state in the United States.... here is a secret that most people on the left do not get.... What appeals to Trump's base is that he fights and most importantly never stops fighting. He is the drunk guy at the bar who just keeps swinging even if he rarely hits anything. That guy is always the guy that all the dudes at the bar like because he is scrappy, but he actually turns off most women. Trump lost the election because he could not appeal to suburban women.

When the man is out of power, yes the media should largely ignore him, except when they can expose him to humiliation.
