One of the Congressmen of my state wants to replace Grant with Reagan on the $50 bill.

Grant defeated the rebellion, he inforced civil rights laws that actually got African Americans elected to congress during his time, and fought KKK violence.

Does Reagan deserve to trump Grant on the $50 bill?

This deification of Reagan, who was probably barely there during his two terms anyway due to the deeply unfortunate illness of Alzheimer's (my sympathy to him or anyone else with this disease that I wouldn't wish on anyone), makes me sick. I might like to know to what extent he made any decisions at all vs. how much he was just a figurehead.
