You ASSUME that the guy will calm down.

How do know he won' t get further agitated - and have more time to formulate a better plan - thus increasing his body count?

Answer - you don't - anymore than you know he will cool down.

Waiting periods are a baseless claim with NO evidence to their working.

My point - which of course flew right over your head - is that it's thought at this time not to be a hate crime.  

You were probably correct on the super-religious nature of the guy since he didn't know how else to deal with temptation but to eliminate it, I guess prayer wasn't helping.

I didn't address guns or no guns...you can carry on with someone else on that argument.

It is related to firearms like it or not, firearms are what he used, regardless of his motive or legal status to buy them.

But, I would agree that his dad being holy person, and being deeply indoctrinated, probably taught him that sex is evil. 

I would however argue why target Asian women and the place they work if you were not targeting them? I think he had a leaning for Asian women but couldn't take rejection from women in general. 

And yea, prayer was not working which was why he turned to firearms.

Maybe it's mostly Asian women that work there.

How? I am crazy for wanting less firearm violence and not more? Is it crazy to look at our allies like Australia and New Zealand and Japan and ask "Why can't we reduce our firearm violence to their levels"? That makes me crazy how?

You are focused on motive, and unfortunately far to much of media, even liberal media focuses on that. It isn't that it isn't important from a case by case basis, it is. But the long term picture has always been access, regardless of motive. 

If a person blows their partner's brains out over jealousy, it still remains they had access to a firearm. If a person blows their partner's brains out to avoid a divorce and paying alimony, it is still an access issue. If a person blows their neighbor's brains out over drugs, it is still an access issue. If a person blows their partner's brains out to get life insurance, it is still an access issue. If a person blows their bosses brains out because they got fired, it is still an access issue. If a person blows someone's brains out because they cant get a woman, it is still an access issue. If a person blows someone's brains out because they don't like their skin color, or religion, again, it is an access issue.

"Motive" only speaks about intent, it does not address access.

How exactly are you going to stop someone from having access to a gun and continue to sell them?
Someone COULD buy a gun and not use it illegally for 30 or 40 YEARS. .
