Fun fact, while trying and failing to find out where Biker pulled his $12,000 price tag for proper vetting, I found this: according to the Vice Chair of the Joint Economic Committee, it turns out that gun violence in America costs the nation $229 billion per year, and if the Brady United stats on how many people are shot (fatally or nonfatally, accidentally or intentionally, by oneself or others) every day are accurate, this adds up to a bit less than $2 million per person. And his response is a bunch of denial of real numbers and statistics and blind assertions mixed with baseless accusations.

And an assumption that the cost of properly vetting prospective gun owners is somehow more than the cost that we already incur as a result of gun violence every year.
Frankly, I used to consider him a right-winger, but at this point, he's best described as crazy-wing.

It would actually help if OLB’s number came to pass. I can’t think of a better way to slow gun sales than by establishing a base price of $12 000.
