My suggestion - move to Japan. That's how they roll..
And you are obviously of the opinion that the laws can NEVER change.
It's not like the safety of the citizenry is of any comparable importance to your right to unrestricted guns
My suggestion - move to Iraq. That's how they roll. You can openly carry anything from pistols to machine guns in public, and for any or no reason. Perfect for your gun rights absolutism. So first he strawman's you. Then he pushes the tired "love it or leaves it nonsense" as if those are the only two options.

This reminds me of a research paper I wrote some years back. Psychology class. Vista Bridge, Portland Oregon. The site of many suicides. So the city erected a barrier that made it nigh impossible for people to jump off.
You'd guess people would just go to another bridge. But most did not. Erecting the barrier actually reduced total suicides... just by making it inconvenient.
That fascinated me. I think this gives us some insight into the nature of suicidal motivation. There is a natural reluctance to commit the act within those who would consider it. Making it inconvenient, though it seems trivial, does real work in suicide prevention.
Guns are a stickier issue. As are mass shootings. Not really commenting on any of that. But the "create obstacle" method of suicide prevention is quite interesting, and deserves our attention.

I think that is expected. People in a frame of mind to overcome obstacles would be much less likely to resorted to suicide in the first place. so adding to the difficulty of suicide should significantly reduce suicide rate.
I suspect just making suicide legal, but requiring perspective suicider to fill out several binders full out paperwork first would dissuade a significant percentage of suicide attempts.
Indeed the preventive power of hurdles can be seen in the fact that treatment for severe depression has been shown to increase suicide rate amongst the treated, because a lessening of depression actual increases the victim’s willingness and ability to over come hurdles in the course of carrying out a suicide attempt.

Bottom dollar - you are an idiot.
Gun laws are ALWAYS changing - and each time their proponents hoot, holler and proclaim victory and predict peace in our lifetime.... Sadly - they're full of shit, and it keeps not quite happening.
Who said anything about "unrestricted guns"? I don't think an idiot like YOU should have one.

You’ve pretty heavily implied that before.

If you want to refer to some right that might allow you to put a goddamned vulcan on your truck...it's the 9th implicitly, not the 2nd explicitly. Not any bit about weapons..a bit about rights not enumerated. It doesn't even specify firearm.
It says "bear arms" i.e. handheld weapons.
So - no nukes. But when phasers become reality - I want one. No cleaning - no moving parts....
But, hey, who am I to glean hypotheses about your beliefs from past conversations about said beliefs? Especially when it doesn’t look like they’ve evolved in the months since?
