I'd like to see the fine print regarding the "employment criteria" that must be met.
My money is on minimum required work hours with no guarantee of being scheduled.

I think most people would rather make $15/hour and buy their own damned phone.

Plus I'm guessing the conditions (employment criteria) will be set so that virtually nobody gets a phone. Maccy Ds are well known as a horrible employer.

Weeeeellll...I guess we'll soon see, whether or not dead ray crocs mcdonalds comes out of pocket for iphones like that insist they will.
Obviously, I think you'd have to be a stone cold sucker to believe it - but I bet we have some stone cold suckers on the board who really want that iphone and think rotten rons is doing their employees a favor.
The man is a hero of mine, but I..at least, have a clear eyed view of what he did, lol.
as an addendum, ask yourself...If you're a person like me who would like to do what ray croc did, how can you effect that by pretending that ray croc did some other thing? Absurd, yes? You can only replicate his success by acknowledging and pursuing his abusive business model, which I think is a great busines model...and...clearly.....history and reality agrees given all the mcdonalds paying people nothing for ......whatever it takes to make 1.5 billion year over year........
In my perfect world, I'd run a sabrett hotdog stand that sells better shit than their sausages...but that's not actually legal, where I live. What a massive (and unfortunate) coinkidink. Does it really surprise anyone that my legal inablility to sell a fucking hotdog priviledges mcdonalds ability to do the same, as a business......? Which of the two of us have sent werewolves to congress...again?
As a double addendum, I feel as though the people who assert this absurd belif are, themsleves, being taken for a ride. Right or wrong, their effort in this regard is worth some specific measure of cash as assessed by a corporate accountant somewhere. How can they belive, OLB, that some worthless piece of shit like you.... is worth something saying a certain ting somewhere. If they also do not believe (and apparently don't have to) pay you for the shame you willingly take on yourself, what then?
You, my friend, are being fucked harder than a mc-asshole. At least they know the things about jobs that you do not., and, sadly, the mcassholes are more motivated and better educated than you are or ever could be. You are worthless. You are an active detriment to your community...but..still..no one is advocating for your stupid worthless saturn loving ass to die for lack of gainful employment. Take a lesson from the untermensch you believe should not be paid enough to exist..because, quite frankly.....you're one of them.

Sorry to bump this but I'm hearing more and more about this and getting won over by an empathy for the working class the more stuff I hear about it. I watched this video by Chapo Trap House on an article by the Federalist condemning the raising worker wages and resulting price hike of products at Chipotle. I think their commentary is pretty spot on, not only with the false impression that service industry jobs are "entry level" (since when? They haven't been that in a long fucking time. What other jobs are adults with families supposed to have then?) But also that the price of products going up right now is the fault of workers needing more pay. There's this whole thing with the shipping containers that everyone got on Buttigieg's case about for his taking time off and all, yet the price of goods going up is because businesses have to pay employees more? Right.

I see a couple sides to this. Workers don't want to sell their life on the cheap any more...and the pandemic brought into clear view what would happen when the 'nobodies' most people don't think twice about while they buy their groceries or pick up their to-go order are fed up.
The other thing is that I think, in some cases, the 'no one wants to work thing' is an excuse for just about everything from 'we are crap to work for' to 'supply chain problems'.
Blame it on the people you prefer to pretend don't exist or who are getting what they deserve - which is the high hard one.
