When I use to eat pizza, we use to buy veggie pizza with pineapple on it. It tasted like heaven. Tho since pineapple was extra we only got it as a topping on special occations until my parents started getting a little bit more money. Only recently I found out Americans hate pineapple as a pizza topping. Why? IDK, maybe because they don't know how to season things. (Like seriously other cultures/countries salt and season their veggies while Americans just boil them and call it day, WTF?)

To me, though, a good cut of beef looses appeal when prepared with tomato. Just put the tomato on the salad and don't overthink the steak. Which is why when the family picks Italian, I struggle with both menu and beer selection.
I eat steak with plenty of ketchup.
Funny that. A few years ago my best friend from Oklahoma came to visit me, the year before paid for him to go to Australia with me. When he came to North Carolina, I took him to my favorite steak place. Prior to that, he always talked about how he would slather gobs of butter on his ribeye steak. I have never heard of putting butter on steak. So true to his prior discriptions, boy did he pile the pads of butter on. At one point I asked him if he needed a forklift or bucketloader to get the butter on his steak.
I've put ranch dressing on my steaks before.

Pineapples are especially good on veggie pizzas (especially with onions).

On Anchovies: Those things are super nasty. I want to throw up just at the thought of consuming one.
I once had a friend offer me a slice, noting that I could "pick off the anchovies"... but no. That pizza had anchovies on it. It's tainted. Not fit for consumption.
They certainly are nasty to those who don't like them for sure. But, again, if I owned a pizza joint I'd put anchovies on pizza because making money is better than not making money. I'd only get pissed if the customer who liked achovies tried to force me to eat a slice of the pizza I sold them.

Because, yeah, that happens a lot.

It isn't "tainted" for those who like anchovies. But I do agree, even removing the fish, to me is like picking off mushrooms. It doesn't mentally take away the fact the item was there before someone offered to remove it for you.

That is the point, you don't punch anyone for eating things you don't like that they do. It all boils down to consent.
I simply hate assholes on the topic of food, that think they have the right to dictate to others even when they are not the ones eating the food.

I understand ribbing southerners for frying everything. But who eats boiled okra? Not me. Toss it in salt, pepper, flour, then a hot skillet.
Don't overcook it, though. Let it crisp on the pizza.
