Yeah, I think that all the rhetoric against Trump makes some people forget that there are FAR WORSE people out there looking for power. And shooting the less bad ones are just going to give the worse ones more energy.

Charlie Kirk was NOT my idea of a model thinker. But he consistently said that talking is better than violence. He was harshly criticized by the real Neo-Nazis and White Nationalists, for refusing to support a flat-out white ethnostate, for hiring non-whites, and for supporting Israel.

Supporting israel ain't exactly something that makes person moral. In fact supporting israel in light of it committing genocide means that one is scum or misinformed at best. Also he might have criticized neo-nazis (which also isn't exactly high bar to clear) but other shit he said made him a scumbag. Perhaps he shouldn't be killed but thousands die daily and no one mourns or eulogize them even when they're far better human beings.

Now all those extremists are going to say they have proof that liberals are violent murderers who will go to any length to stop free speech. And that means that his fans may well conclude that assassinations should be met with counter-assassinations. That's not going to make the country better.

Aren't they saying it already? Since when extremists need any reason to spout propaganda nonsense?

At a certain point we have to remember what happened when Sergei Kirov got killed. If Trump is as bad as people say, and he's ready to be the new Stalin, then he's been handed his Sergei Kirov moment. 

Increasing the violence won't make anything better.

We also have to remember that one of theories surrounding Kirov death claims that Stalin was behind it.

I have a plan.  When that fuckface was reelected, I took down the American flag from the front of my house.  When he goes, the flag goes back up.

I was giving the reasons that the extreme right disliked Kirk. I'm aware that Israel should NOT be supported in any way at this time.

(The extreme right opposes Israel because they hate Jews; the regular right, as you know, will do anything Israel wants.)

We also have to remember that one of theories surrounding Kirov death claims that Stalin was behind it.

Since we don't who killed him, there are currently plenty of theories going around saying that right-wingers killed him. Either intentionally to blame the left and start a crackdown, or because his support for Israel had begun to weaken in recent weeks.

It seems likely to me that we'll never know the real reason he was killed. So the event can be used as justification for further violence by any number of groups.

I want my American flag back up.  That's the flag that was on my uniform back in my military days.

I know that Trump being dead isn't going to fix things but I am trying to be hopeful that it will be a start.
