But…but…I thought all of those rioters were Antifa in disguise. Pretty generous of Trump to pardon people that hate him.

I read a piece in the NYT last week about Trump's use of "we" when announcing the J6 pardons. As in, he is including himself in the blanket pardon. It's likely the last clause of the order that matters. He ordered his own cases to be dismissed with prejudice.

I further direct the Attorney General to pursue dismissal with prejudice to the government of all pending indictments against individuals for their conduct related to the events at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.

I wonder if Trump's attempts to rewrite history will stand the test of time.

Quote:A 42-year-old man who received a pardon from President Trump for his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol was fatally shot by a sheriff’s deputy after he resisted arrest during a traffic stop, the Indiana State Police said.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

There's a guy here in TX who was released by Trump for the insurrection and was nearly immediately arrested and jailed for soliciting a minor online.

Somehow I don't think that these Jan 6ers are the cream of the crop.

Of course the dude in the horns and body paint has also stated upon release he intends to get more guns.

Israel killed Hind Rajab a year ago today. She was the 6 year old girl trapped in a car with her dead family for several hours, while the IDF shot over 300 bullets at her, and killed the rescue workers who tried to free her.

Before this a person MIGHT have been able to believe the fantasy that Israel is protecting itself from terrorists. But it's way past that point now.

Since then they have extended their murder and looting to Syria and Lebanon, where they ignore deadlines and cease-fires. It's not a defense against terrorism to invade a well-known pianist's home, steal her antique carpets, and destroy her grand piano.

No he does if that was Putin it would have been  500 bullets then he would have sent her family the bill for the ammunition after the Russian troops take selfies with her corpse and Putin himself would pin a medal on her killers your sad attempts to defend Putin's atrocities in Ukraine aren't going to fly

A rigorously applied course of prayer, ivermectin, and chlorine bleach. Good for what ails ye.
