On the subject of heaven and hell, I'd rather spend eternity in hell with all the atheists I've known than spend it in heaven with all the Christians that I've known!
There are many intelligent Christians, no doubt, but an "intellectual Christian", is surely an oxymoron.

How about instead of letting God throw you into hell, you throw God into hell and take earth and heaven all for yourself........and sell hell on eBay!!!!!
Poor God will be at the mercy of mere people!!!!
On a better note......add another page to the Bible and write God out.
I think my joke is much funnier!!!

Sorry G-C but after reading revelations the only conclusion I can come to is that god wants humans to be a bunch of mindless drones whose only purpose is to sing his praises for the rest of eternity and stroke his obviously delicate ego.[/b]

I don't think eternal life in heaven is all it's cracked up to be. The idea of spending eternity cleansed by the blood of Christ and unable to think for myself does not appeal to me at all. Not to mention the whole loving and worshiping God for all eternity sickens me. You have to be subservient to the great and powerful OZ creator of heaven and Earth. The biblical god is a fucking nut job, a megalomaniac with an ego so great I think it exceeds his own power.
The first steps in becoming a Christian reveals this:
1. recognize that you are a sinner and a dirty fucking scumbag who needs redemption
2. acknowledge that you can't redeem yourself since you are so filthy
3. relinquish your will to that of God and recognize that Jesus is Lord
4. accept him as Lord of your life and be bathed in his blood
5. kiss his fucking ass throughout eternity and live as he commands in his word
What a crock of shit!

I have met some cool christians and some a-hole atheists. With that said, the list of those going to Hell are far more appealing to me than the ones going to heaven. Jefferson, Sagan, Einstein, Paine.. man hell is going to be populated with some of the greatest thinkers.

I have said something similar to fundies when they asked me what I will do if I see Jesus and God standing before you after your death... you look behind you and all people throughout history are there to be judged? I usually answer with something like this:
I would kick Jesus right in the nuts, and bitch slap God. Then I will stand on the arms of Gods throne and scream out to the masses "DEATH TO THE TYRANTS!!! DEATH TO THE CREATORS OF HELL!!!" and that is when Jesus and God will be bum rushed by millions and billions of non-christians. We will grab Jesus and god by the scruff of the neck and toss them into hell! We will then make an offer to the "true believers" if they want to join their beloved Jesus and if so they should jump into Hell willingly...otherwise they can join us atheists and non-christians in Heaven.
If they give me a hard time about it, I just tell them that even though I am a mortal in the physical world, I have great powers and the ability to harm and kill gods and goddesses in the spirit world.
That really gets them scratching their heads....hey, if they can make shit up on a whim, then so can I.

Heaven gains its most detailed description in the Book of Revelation:
Revelation 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
21:16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
Sounds like a Borg cube.

Its just really sad to know that so many fucktards are out there praying and kneeling and hoping god will safe when they die? But if they think heaven is so wounderful why dont they kill themselfs? Oh wait i forgot....."because "god" still has a plan for me" to be his slave. yeah. right... good plan nut job!

For Man to move forward we must throw away religion, and put it in the Mythology section, and then use Reason, Logic, and Common sense to solve all our daily problems. That's a Higher Level of Thinking.

You are very correct. I have a drawing I did of what "new jerusalum" is described in the book of revelations. It is most deffinitely a cube, with see through gold.
