yep, not life as a simulation, just life based on that system after it was set up.

I have no idea what you were talking about in that wall of text, OP.

Game theory is very useful in understanding how group interaction works. Game theory shows whether competitive strategies for survival or advancement make sense or are maladaptive.

Game theory can be applied to evolutionary psychology. It explains why we behave the way we do. Why do we have certain emotions? They must make sense from an evolutionary standpoint, and game theory can help in that.

If you are stating that some super-smart cabal of elites has employed knowledge of psychology to entertain the masses "bread and circuses", while they enslave us -- that has always been the desires of the corrupt. The powerful will always use power to advance their own interests. If we don't want to fall into dictatorship and servitude, game theory requires us to have checks in place.

Well as long as its what I described game theory in this thread as good or that it's just academic study that is true, I don't have much of a issue with it, Just based on what I said is bad about it if its a real system that has been implemented into to society, based on just theory and if it does not work, bad for society, wrong or is messed up. If its a system that has been set up not based on the real world, science, reality, good and true then I have a issue with it. If its a bad system that has been set up in society by who I mentioned in this thread, well then I suppose they did baseing that system on believing it would create a better society or better world, good and based on what they like being games rather then to control the masses. By the way I never said anything about game theory being set up to control the masses. spats bear on youtube made 2 videos on sports and society going into great detail which is sort of what I am talking about and i agree with many of the points he made in those vids and thought they were well done. I would post the links to the videos but like I said, I don't want to break forum rules here. I side with whatever the truth is about game theory even if I don't like and do not exept it. If game theory is more like using a theory or language to describe reality, scientific evidence and facts like scientific theories then well then I guess this thread shouldn't be in pseudoscience. if its not a system like in government or religion, but just academic study or research that's true, That doesn't bother me at all and I dont have an issue with that.

It's just a way of trying to understand how self-interested parties ought to (or will) operate in a given situation.

Your worry is about self-interest to the exclusion of all else. That is, perhaps, a worrying issue. But it's been an issue since ancient times. The introduction of game theory has little to do with it.

I'm concerned self-interest has too much sway in the world, and it's an unstable situation. In that regard, we wholly agree.
