Alcohol is a depressant. It does not make people happy.

Trust me, I've thought about it quite a lot.

Are you just focusing on YouTube for now?

Yeah, my stuff would be on YouTube. I've imagined myself making videos, talking about all kinds of stuff.

Then why don't you talk about other things here...things besides your happy clappy cobbled together religion?

There's a lot if things here besides pushing the smiley god.

A lot of my ideas are extremely unorthodox, and I doubt I would find an accepting audience here.

If you agree that religion makes people happy, more often than not, how come you aren't religious?

I don't think that it does - but that's not why I'm an atheist, and it's probably an open question as to whether I'm irreligious.

I think that people who aren't happy will shop, if they seek a religion to produce happiness. Thing is, I strongly suspect that whatever it is about your religion, that makes you happy, I'll have some analog for. A thing that makes me feel that same way. We know that we both value happiness and find happiness, for example - already.

In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I find that odd. If someone hasn't had the experience of religion making them happy, what makes that person think religion will make him/her happy? It's like, people automatically assume religion will make them happy, well I don't think it's that simple. Perhaps a certain way of practicing religion, will make a person happy, but simply saying, "I am a Christian/Jew/Muslim/Buddhist/whatever", will not make a person happy.

It may be odd, but it's what people do. Many people think that some other religion might make them happy or happier, despite their initial religion having never done so. I doubt anyone here would assume that religion automatically makes anyone happy.

Do you have something in your life, that makes you feel as if you're being protected and encouraged?
