RE: Daily conspiracy
Ronda Rousey's apology for sharing Sandy Hook conspiracy overdue but still timely

In a post Thursday night on X, the former UFC champ apologized for something she’d done 11 years ago, a veritable lifetime in this age of warp-speed news cycles fueled by our constant connection.

The apology followed a disastrous Ask Me Anything on Reddit, in which Rousey was inundated with questions about her posting of a video that cast doubt on the horrific massacre that killed 20 first-graders and six educators and shattered the idea there were still some places in this country safe from gun violence.

Regardless of the convenience of the timing, Rousey said she has long regretted sharing the video. She’d written an apology many times over, even tried to put it in her last book, but never published it. Out of fear. Out of shame. Out of concern it would send others down the conspiratorial rabbit hole. Out of calculated self-interest.

Whatever the reasons, she now knows they weren’t worth more than making amends for the harm she’d done.

"I apologize that this came 11 years too late, but to those affected by the Sandy Hook massacre, from the bottom of my heart and depth of my soul I am so so sorry for the hurt I caused. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain you’ve endured and words cannot describe how thoroughly remorseful and ashamed I am of myself for contributing to it. I’ve regretted it every day of my life since and will continue to do so until the day I die," Rousey wrote, putting the words in bold so no one would miss their importance.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Maria Bartiromo and Byron Donalds think Obama's controlling country through 'earpiece'

During a Sunday interview on Fox News, Fox News host Maria Bartiromo and Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) argued that former President Barack Obama was controlling Democratic officials through an earpiece.

Bartiromo pointed to a 2020 interview in which Stephen Colbert asked Obama if he would be willing to serve a third term as president.

"And I used to say, you know what, if I could make an arrangement where I had a stand in a front man or front woman, and they had an earpiece in, and I was just in my basement in my sweats, looking through the stuff, and then I could sort of deliver the lines," Obama said at the time. "But somebody else was doing all the talking and ceremony. I'd be fine with that."

"Is that the plan?" Bartiromo asked Donalds.

"It very well might be," the lawmaker agreed. "Even if you look at the Biden-Harris administration, a lot of the staff are Obama holdovers from the Obama-Biden administration."

In fascists worldview enemies are simultaneously strong and weak.
The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Guillermo del Toro Faces ‘Angry and Territorial’ Spirit in Haunted Hotel Room While Filming ‘Frankenstein’

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, del Toro documented his spectral adventures as if on a mission.

“Whilst in Aberdeen, I am staying in an old 1800’s hotel,” he wrote in a post this past week. “I am in the Most Haunted room of it — which was vacated this morning by one of our producers. Odd electrical and physical occurrences scared her into leaving asap. Stay tuned — if anything happens I will report.”

This is not the first time del Toro has faced down ghosts and ghouls apparently. Continuing his post, he said, “I always stay in ‘the most haunted rooms’ but only once did I experience anything supernatural — the rest of the time: nothing. I have high hopes.”

“I’m stopping there early and late in the day — but something is in that room with me…” del Toro wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Between finishing his shooting day Thursday and dinner, del Toro decided to take another stop by the room, at which point he wrote, “The room has more than vibes. There is something angry and territorial there. A shred of rage.”

Concluding his adventure on Friday following his shooting day, del Toro wrote an epilogue to his experience where he shared that while he had not seen any concrete proof of a ghost in Room #4, a member of the crew had.

“One of our cast had a similar sensation in the room and one of our crew saw someone outside the window… On the second floor,” del Toro wrote.

Conservatives Have Invented a Conspiracy About Tim Walz’s Dog

“This is Tim Walz tweeting about his dog Scout. Only problem is that these are two completely different dogs,” right-wing columnist Dustin Grage wrote on X.

He shared two photos Walz had previously posted. One photo is from June 2022 and shows Walz with his dog Scout, who is a black labrador mix, and is captioned: “Sending a special birthday shoutout to our favorite pup, Scout.”

The other photo is from October 2022 and shows Walz petting a different dog at a dog park. “Couldn’t think of a better way to spend a beautiful fall day than at the dog park. I know Scout enjoyed it,” the caption reads.

Republicans falsely claimed the photos showed Walz was lying about the dog he’s very much had since 2019.

Sen. Eric Schmidt, R-Mo., wrote that Walz's dog posts were “creepy” and “weird.”

“Wait so Walz is even lying about his dog?” wrote Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host and the fiancee of Donald Trump Jr.

“Tim Walz is an all-time legendary liar,” Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

Rogan O’Handley, a right-wing activist whose account “DC Draino” boasts more than 1.7 million followers, wrote in a since-deleted post that “If Tim Walz would lie about his dog’s name, he’ll lie about literally anything. Can’t put someone like that in charge of nuclear weapons.”

Maybe they deleted those tweets after realizing that, in the second photo, Walz is petting another dog while mentioning his. Horrors.

Knowing how absurd their other conspiracy bullshit is I at the very least expected Walz dog to be a Garmr in disguise. I'm disappointed by mundanity of it but I suppose people inventing such bullshit never heard of mythology other than christian one.
