Did James Franco Find Real Alien Footage or Is He Just Trolling Everyone?

On June 3, the scandal-plagued Oscar-nominated actor popped up on TikTok with a new account, as he’s mostly remained off social media since his 2018 following sexual misconduct allegations. In his first video, he clarified that it’s really him and not AI, writing in the caption, “I can’t say too much right now. But stick around and I promise it will all make sense.”

Appearing often frantic, Franco has continued to state that he thinks he’s being watched or followed and that he’s worried he might disappear.

This led fans to speculate what was really going on, with many predicting that it’s all tied to promotion for an upcoming movie project. But on June 15, Franco revealed in another video that all the secrecy has to do with an alien he allegedly witnessed on his property.

After saying that he’s going to expose the footage of the extraterrestrial encounter, Franco started teasing the date, July 13. “OK, they hacked my account. I got it back. They want me to stop. People think I’m acting crazy. Whatever. I’m not acting crazy. I saw something. They tried to hack my account and I got it back,” he said in a panicked video on June 25. “They don’t want me to show what I’m gonna show. I’m gonna show it. I already told you, 7/13.”

Once the big day arrived on Monday, Franco said in the much-anticipated video that this was “thrust upon me” to reveal. “I saw something, and I thought, you know what? I can’t keep this quiet,” he stated. “I need to get this out for that very reason that people are trying to stop me.”

However, I’m not sure the footage that Franco has been hyping up for a month was what fans were expecting. In the black-and-white clips, an alien-like figure can be seen roaming outside his house as well as coming up close to his windows.

But truthfully, the footage didn’t seem too convincing, and fans in the video’s comment section agreed. “Clearly fake but I’ll say it again, I’m excited for whatever movie this is for,” one person wrote, while another added, “God damnit James Franco, you made us wait for this?!” Users also note that you have to be a paid subscriber to Franco’s account to see additional footage.

Trump’s China conspiracy is all about the Midterms. Just not in the way you’d think

Gavin Newsom, California’s governor, is wrong. Donald Trump’s latest remarks, in which he attacked not just China but the “deep state” inside his own country, the intelligence officials who briefed him in the White House, and America’s electoral system, were not the “ramblings of a mad king”.

They were much worse than that.

If Trump believed it was the case that Beijing was attacking the very foundations of American democracy in the most direct and verifiable way – by buying voter data and making fake ballots – then China would be, and should be, under economic sanctions.

Trump has delivered a presidential broadcast from the White House to announce that the US elections are vulnerable to “hacking, exploitation, and foreign interference”, and accused the People’s Republic of China of carrying out “the largest compromise of election data in history” simply by acquiring election data – much of which is commercially available for purchase by political campaigns and other interested parties.

Trump’s Republican Party is experiencing terrible polling, and is set to be damned by association with the presidency come the November midterm elections to Congress. According to a recent Ipsos poll, 61 per cent of Americans disapprove of the way that the president is running the country.

And he is making sure that the country is prepared for what he might next unleash – which is not a “mad king” moment, but an all-too-rational consolidation of the power grab he has already enacted on America’s pillars of authority.

His public attack on China is not a geostrategic play; neither is it a wider reckoning with the growing power of Beijing. He is preparing the ground for the outcome of the November elections, because it looks increasingly likely that they may not go his way.

MAGA America Now Needs Conspiracy Theories to Explain How The Odyssey Could Possibly be a Box Office Hit

The MAGA influencer network has been hard at work digging up the terrible truth: The entire world is engaging in coordinated fakery designed to project the success of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey! It’s all part of a heinous plot to undermine classical western (white) values and the dignity of an ancient Greek story that has already been adapted roughly 1,000 times previously, including a beloved entry where Odysseus is played by a Jack Russell Terrier. None of those previous Odysseys were problematic, but the new one–which coincidentally has a black person and a trans person in it, in relatively small roles–is apparently so important to a left-wing culture war victory that Universal Pictures and thousands of movie theaters are all coordinating to fake ticket sales not only all over the country, but all over the planet. And, uh … I guess Disney forgot to do the same thing for Moana and Mandalorian & Grogu, and instead just decided to accept THOSE flops? After all, this guy says so:

It’s also an extremely well-received film by both professional and casual audiences–as of this morning, it boasts a 94% fresh rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes with 426 reviews in the system, and a score of 8.5 on IMDB. Its audience score on RT stands at an ultra-impressive 97% fresh, with more than 10,000 ratings. Would you believe that’s the source of another conspiracy theory, though? The fact that this rating is calculated by the scores assigned solely by people who have verifiably seen the film strikes MAGA America as distinctly unfair–clearly, the score should be based on “whoever wants to assign a score for any reason because they’re very, very angry.” As long as you include the audience scores that I saw in a dream last night rather than ones from people who have actually been to the theater, the TRUE number apparently drops to 56%.

There are more conspiracies to be had, of course. There’s the guy below, for instance, claiming that the nefarious goal of The Odyssey is to “pacify” people and “make them okay with civilization collapsing.” In no way does the credibility of this individual suffer by his subsequent pivot to claiming that Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan has “sacrificed to Baal.” Although one would think that if the infernal powers really were to blame for the film’s success, they should have been able to fake its audience scores without leaving the true scores behind for the world’s dumbest internet detectives to find.

Sean Stone has heard every version of “that’s nuts.” The filmmaker, author and son of Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone has spent two decades chasing the stories mainstream media won’t touch — from his days co-hosting “Conspiracy Theory” with Jesse Ventura to his new book on life’s spiritual “gates.” And when it comes to UFOs, he’s not speculating from the sidelines, as he says he’s had encounters of his own.

Stone’s most chilling story comes from a visit to Utah’s infamous Skinwalker Ranch, filmed during his “Conspiracy Theory” days with Jesse Ventura’s son, Tyrell.

“Skinwalker is a notorious ranch in Utah,” Stone said, describing “the paranormal and supernatural sightings and activity that’s going on there,” which he says “goes back to the Native American lore before the white man came. … There’s been long history of the idea this is like a portal.”

The lore includes "horrifying stories of massive wolves and shapeshifters and scary creatures."

When Stone hopped the fence to look around, something stopped him cold.

“I felt something almost like an energy weapon,” he recalled. “It was like a hot, buzzing, tingling feeling on my leg. And I was like, what the hell is going on? So I just ran back and jumped back over the fence.”

But the night wasn’t over. When the pair returned after dark, Stone froze at the sound of a strange thudding.

“I just kind of froze … it didn’t occur to me to look up,” he said. When the noise stopped, he turned to find Tyrell staring at the sky, mouth agape.

According to Stone, Tyrell described what happened next: “This thing appeared in the sky like a diamond shape. And it was just floating there. And then it turned on its side and emitted light… and then it just shifted back and zipped off really fast.

“That’s the kind of stuff I would say is more extra-dimensional,” Stone said. “I don’t think that’s necessarily our government craft.”

Asked directly whether he’s seen a UFO himself, Stone said: “I’ve seen craft (but) I’ve never seen an alien in physical form.”

One sighting happened right over Los Angeles: “I was driving in Beverly Hills at like two a.m. driving home, and this thing flies really low over the city,” he recalled. “It’s quiet, and it doesn’t have — I couldn’t see a propulsion system. … It was not designed like any plane.”

“It was just moving quietly and fast. And I was like, that could be a UFO. It could be our government.”

“I think what happened in Roswell was an actual crash — something extraterrestrial,” he said. “I believe that we started to basically reverse engineer the craft.”

He points to the late Army intelligence officer Philip Corso, whose son Stone has met personally: “Corso, who was a high level in the Pentagon for many years, talked about the idea that a lot of the technology that we got in the fifties and sixties was basically reverse engineered from crashes like Roswell.”

“My understanding of how these things work, it’s almost as if there is an interface between consciousness and the machine.”

He also believes the government has its own advanced fleet, referencing hacker Gary McKinnon’s claims of “cigar-shaped craft” and the rumored triangle-shaped “TR-3s,” which he compares to “very advanced stealth bomber types.”

“Remember in the seventies, eighties, if you saw a stealth bomber you’d say that’s a UFO,” he noted.

So why the decades of secrecy? Stone says follow the money.

“Once you get to that level — if we’re working with anti-gravity propulsion, say goodbye to oil and gas. That whole industry is gone,” he said. “That’s the big reason why some people speculate that the UFO thing has been so suppressed.”

Conspiracy theories abound after Spain-Argentina World Cup final

It's been a week since the World Cup ended, but misleading claims and conspiracies surrounding the tournament have continued in full force.

The vast majority concern Spain's victory over Argentina in the final, in which La Roja won 1-0, and the controversies that have cast a shadow over the South American side during and after the competition.

One post that has racked up almost 4 million views alleges that global football governing body FIFA "needed a European champion".

It says that FIFA President Gianni Infantino made a deal with UEFA, Europe's football governing body, to ensure Spain won the World Cup in return for its support for his re-election in 2027.

Another claim circulating online alleges that FIFA forced Argentina to either lose the final or face a 10-year ban from the World Cup, after players unfurled a banner with the message "The Falkland Islands are Argentine" following their victory over England in the semi-finals.

Another conspiracy alleges that Argentina's players and their families were threatened before the World Cup final, using a clip showing captain Lionel Messi encouraging his teammates before the game as evidence.

"Let's stay calm," Messi says in the video. "Let's forget about everything, let's just think about playing."

Social media users allege that this shows he was trying to calm his teammates down after they were threatened and told to fix the match.
