Scientists warn of secret moon base after giant fleet of UFOs is spotted on the surface

Astronomers studying the moon claim to have captured possible evidence of a technologically advanced nonhuman civilization.

Scientists at Ukraine’s Main Astronomical Observatory reported observing more than 20 unidentified objects moving near and across the moon several months in 2025.

Some of the disc-shaped objects were estimated to measure between 15 and 25 miles across.

In a new study that has not been peer-reviewed, the team said they identified two categories of UFOs: ‘atmospheric’ objects that appeared stationary and ‘continental’ objects that appeared to move across the moon’s surface.

The objects also appeared to display unusual changes in brightness and rotation.

The researchers argued that those patterns could indicate structured, technological behavior, and raised the possibility that the objects originated from a hidden base on the moon.

'UFOs are observed on Earth and in near-Earth space. We believe that the moon serves as a base for UFOs,' the team shared in the study.

The researchers claimed the objects could reach Earth within 20 minutes and appear in the atmosphere as UAPs. They argued that the objects’ apparently intelligent behavior could point to the existence of a 'technologically advanced civilization.'

While the scientists are sure the objects they observed were likely nonhuman craft, there is no scientific evidence of aliens or artificial structures on the moon.

Both NASA and the US government have long maintained that while some sightings remain unexplained, none has been confirmed to involve extraterrestrial technology.

Researchers recorded the main group of more than 20 unidentified objects during two observation periods on September 7, 2025, beginning at 7.05pm and 7.27pm ET.

They reported detecting additional ring-shaped objects during a separate observation on August 16, 2025, at 2.52am ET. Both sightings were captured using a high-speed camera attached to a telescope in Vinarivka, a village in Ukraine’s Kyiv region.

The high-speed camera snapped 20 images every second, allowing the scientists to track objects that would have otherwise been nearly impossible to see.

The UFOs were so faint that some appeared as nothing more than a two-by-two-pixel speck against the moon.

Antisemitic conspiracy theories spread online amid European wildfires

Antisemitic conspiracy theories blaming Jews for wildfires across several European countries are spreading on social media, according to a new analysis by CyberWell, an organization that monitors online antisemitism.

The report found that nearly identical posts on X were shared in French, English and Spanish, falsely claiming that Jews deliberately started fires in France, Spain and Norway or were seeking to profit politically or financially from the disasters. CyberWell said the allegations were made without evidence.

According to the organization, posts related to the fires in Norway alone generated more than two million views, turning what began as isolated accusations into a broader online antisemitic campaign. Similar posts in Spain reached more than 69,000 users.

CyberWell said the coordinated appearance of the same narratives in multiple languages suggests either an organized campaign or the rapid amplification of identical talking points across different accounts.

As the claims spread, some posts escalated to include calls to expel Jews, dehumanizing rhetoric and antisemitic imagery, including the "Happy Merchant" caricature, a symbol commonly associated with white supremacist and extremist groups.

The organization said the pattern mirrors previous online disinformation campaigns following major crises, including the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, the 2026 Patagonia fires, terrorist attacks and public health emergencies.

‘Artificial earthquake’ conspiracy theory sweeps Japan after Kumamoto disaster

Claims that the recent magnitude 7.1 earthquake that struck southwestern Japan was man-made have been spreading online, with experts dismissing the theory as unrealistic in technological, financial and practical terms.

On July 28, the day the deadly earthquake hit Kumamoto prefecture, a user on social media who has previously shared false claims about earthquakes wrote that the “seismic wave is of an explosion, not a quake” in a post that has had around 3 million views as of Wednesday.

Searches of posts mentioning an “artificial earthquake” in Japanese using an analysis tool from US firm Meltwater showed hundreds of references tracked in the days before the quake. They surged to about 10,000 on the day of the disaster and around 38,000 on the following day.

While many posts reject the claims, assertions of a man-made origin to the disaster continue to be posted daily with tens of thousands of mentions.

The Seismological Society of Japan created a section in its website’s FAQ in March to address the issue. It describes the concept as “unrealistic”.

That sounds familiar. I’m not a physicist (clearly!) but I know that gravity is a property of mass and is a property of matter. The only possible way for the Earth to lose its gravitational attraction would be for the Earth to cease to exist. Not disintegrate, but cease to be. If gravity did switch off, we wouldn’t be here to notice it.

America Is Finally Taking Extraterrestrials Seriously

After decades of secrecy, stigma, and sometimes silliness—like the conspiratorial tales about recovered spacecraft and alien remains at a place known as Area 51 in Roswell, N.M.—the government has at long last begun taking things seriously. What used to be called UFOs and now go by the more decorous handle of UAPs—or unidentified anomalous phenomena—are being given the full investigatory treatment.

Congressional hearings into the origins of the sightings were held in 2022 and 2023. In 2022, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) was established “to detect, identify and attribute objects of interest.” In December 2023, then President Joe Biden signed into law the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Disclosure Act, requiring the collection, review, and public disclosure of all sightings and encounters.

On June 12, capturing the global hunger for answers to the UAP mystery, director Steven Spielberg—who has long had a sort of seismographic sense of the popular mood—released his latest film, Disclosure Day, in which a government cover-up of extraterrestrial visitations is exposed. The movie grossed $94 million worldwide on its opening weekend alone. At about the same time, the White House established the UAP Science Advisory Council, a body led by Harvard astrophysicist and cosmologist Avi Loeb to study the national-security risks posed by UAPs.

It’s not just for the government, academia, and Hollywood to do that figuring. Last year, the nonprofit Disclosure Foundation, led by former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence Christopher Mellon, was launched with the aim of encouraging the release of UAP reports, promoting scientific investigation of sightings, supporting whistle-blowers, and formulating policy related to UAPs. On June 25 of this year the group convened a Capitol Hill forum in the Kennedy Caucus Room of the Russell Senate Office Building.

Trump has released a new batch of UFO files and you guys here are stone cold about it.

The Pentagon on Friday released a new batch of documents and images related to UFOs, also known as unidentified anomalous phenomena or UAP, including a military pilot's recollection of a huge, strange triangle that blocked out the stars over Afghanistan in 2002.

The 41 new files, posted on the Pentagon's UFO website, include a mix of documents, images and videos. The records come from the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, State Department and Executive Office of the President, with the oldest being from 1950 and the most recent being from this year.

The disclosure is the fifth release under an executive order President Trump signed in January directing the military and other agencies to produce more documents related to UFOs.

The bulk of Friday's release includes the type of grainy videos that have been the hallmark of past disclosures, showing flying objects captured by military sensors and cameras.

Six of the videos show different versions of the same incident — an encounter over the Gulf of Oman by Special Operations forces on an AC-130J gunship in September 2021. The clips are cellphone videos of screens on the gunship, showing objects picked up by its infrared and other sensors.

One clip submitted by U.S. Central Command shows footage captured by a military aircraft over a populated area in the Middle East in 2025. The video shows what appears to be an object zooming across the screen. The incident also remains unresolved.

Another video shows footage captured by a "U.S. Government Special Agent" in the western U.S. this year. The Pentagon said the video "features two, slow-moving 'black-hot' areas of contrast, visible in infrared imaging."
